Hi Angels,
With the upgrades that are coming later today and through out the next few days/weeks (with tweaking), I just wanted to make sure we were all aware that we'll have to update any of our welcome posts that have links in them (well... more than likely we will).

Since I was on Staff during the beginning stages of the planning process for the upgrades (same with Gweny too), I knew ahead of time that we'd probably have to get some of the forums changed around--- in hopes of making it easier for people to use the site. This means that some of the links in our welcome posts that we use will be changed--- so please take some time after the site is back up to review the forums and make sure the links you are using are valid (otherwise we'll have some very confused new members :D).

You also might want to note this in any of your welcome posts or pm's that you make today--- so members are aware that some links may be changing. I'm putting this warning in my welcome posts in the New Member Intros forum today...

:clap:**Please be aware that ChristianForums.com will be down for server and feature upgrades starting Sunday evening (American time) and should be up sometime later on Monday (American time). We have ALOT of awesome things planned for CF Version 2.0--- hope you enjoy them as well!!** :clap:

I need help with this. I am a computer challanged angel. :angel: I copied and pasted my original links off of three of the other angels letters.

I will stick to prayer requests, sending birthday greetings and answering PM's for a little bit. :hug:

edit....the birthday lists aren't available after 5/3/08....

It took me awhile to find the Angels area as it is, lol. So I know I'll need at least a day to poke around and get my bearings. The very white background and small font is bad on my eyes, so I know I'll be resting from it more often at least.
I wonder where I find my character and her belongings??

MOTM feature is down--- we haven't discussed if its coming back or not

Pet system is still down (there will be a new system coming up, but you can get your pet back--- Pet workers have all pet information saved some place)

You can now only either have an avatar (like I chose) or a character--- you can choose what you want under User CP--> Edit avatar. Click on the blue box Living Avatar to create you dolly again--- there's ALOT more you can do now, but you have to purchase everything again [everything will be free for the next month or so to make up for having to buy everything back]. Just be careful with layering--- it can get a little tricky.

All of your blessings that you had before the site went down should be on-hand (what shows up under blessings). Since the site came up we had a bad bug in the bank, so the amounts were reset to before the site came back up--- Nexia (tech guy) gave each of us a 5000 blessing bonus to make up for the blessings lost since the site came back up. The bank should be back up this evening if everything can be fixed :)

All of those icons are gone--- I think I saw some place that we might try to bring them back. However, I talked to Raven and we might just upload icons (like the faith icons) into the character program and members can add them into their characters. Other suggestions: update your tag line with the info or put the icons in your signature [OBOB members have been doing this as of lately, they have a thread about it some where in there, just can't find it].

Those are great areas to handle since I know alot of Angels stop by the new member intros forum already :)

We should be able to do birthday lists again since the calendar is up and has the bdays posted. :clap:

Thank you Tati for taking the time to answer all my questions :hug: I want you to know how much I appreciate your doing that, and I wasn't overlooking it, I was without power and water for almost a week due to the tornado's.
