I don't know if this is the right place, so if not, can someone move it? Well, I hear a lot of the number of man and of the beast (666), so how can we tell our number? Is that numerology or something completely different? And will the antichrists's actual name add up to 666? Thanks. I'm just curious.

Yeah, the Bible says 666 is the number of man. Though i'm not sure how the work up numbers for names (it is said that Jesus name is 888, and 8 is the number for new beginnings). But there's no ill omen that follows that number.... And something makes me doubt his name will add up to 666

SIDENOTE: The Bible says in 1 John that anyone who denies Christ and/or God is an antichrist ;)

The number of man is less than the number of God. God is perfect and the number is "7"... but numbers involving man are "6" or less than God. In this case the number is 666.

Numerology can be manipulated to make anyone's name add up to be the antichrist.

People will assign numbers to letters. If it doesn't "add up" in English, they will go to Hebrew, or to Greek, or Latin, and if the name doesn't add up, they will go a title instead of the name... i.e. "Vicar of Christ" can be made to add up to 666...

If given enough opportunities, I could make your name in some language or in some title add up to 666.

Numerology is "mysticism"... only in a manipulative means.
