What is your favorite verse(s)?

Here is the latest one for me.

James 1:19-2119 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

For me, it's the good old standard John 3:16.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."

It's so hard to top that one, for me.

It's so hard to top that one, for me.I agree, though Romans 8:2 comes close. :)

One of my favourite verses (I have many) is:

Romans 2:12-16
All who have sinned without the law will also persish without the law, and all who have sinned under to law will be judged by the law. For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous but the doers of the law who will be justified. When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps axcuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

I have so many favorite verses, but this passage gives me peace and great strength:

Psalm 84

1 How lovely is your dwelling place,
O LORD Almighty!
2 My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the LORD ;

Does anyone get goosebumps when they read certain bible passages?

Like this one does for me:
Revelation 11:15-18 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign for ever and ever." And the twenty-our elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshipped God, saying, "We give thanks to thee, Lord God Almighty, who art and who wast, that thou hast taken thy great power and begun to reign. The nations raged, but thy wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, fof rewarding thy servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear thy name, both SMALL and GREAT, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth."

Sounds silly doesnt it? :)

It happens all the time (at least when i'm suppose to learn something). :)

Eph 1:3-6 KJV
(3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

And Actually......... I get goosebumps whenever i read ponder on these verses.

Ecclesiastes 12:

I'm going to start with the 23 Psalm. I memorized it as a child and I believe that praying this brought about my salvation! :bow:

Two of my favourite verses have to be:

(Rom 10:9) That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

(Rom 10:10) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Apostle Paul so clearly stated the means of salvation for sinners like me.

One of my favorites is the armor of God. Wisdom 5:16-20

16 Therefore shall they receive a glorious kingdom, and a beautiful crown from the Lord's hand: for with his right hand shall he cover them, and with his arm shall he protect them. 17 He shall take to him his jealousy for complete armour, and make the creature his weapon for the revenge of his enemies. 18 He shall put on righteousness as a breastplate, and true judgment instead of an helmet. 19 He shall take holiness for an invincible shield. 20 His severe wrath shall he sharpen for a sword, and the world shall fight with him against the unwise.

I really like the promises God made in Deuteronomy 28. Those are my favourite verses.
