View Full Version : Where is the Ark of the Covenant Located?

What are your opinions about where the Ark of the Covenant is located?
Is it in Jerusalem? Under the Temple Mount? In Ethiopia?
:) Will it ever be found? Will it be necessary to find for the rebuilding of the Temple? And once found, could man ever behold it?

Indiana Jones had it for a while, then the Nazis, then the government. :D

Well I personally think that it will never be found. God does not want us to base our faith on tangible items, so he will keep it hidden. Recall John 20:29 "Because you have seen me, you have believed; but blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe."

Thanks, Dr Kimble. :)

Anyone else have any opinions?

From what I understand the Ark is in Yerusalem in a tunnel that extends to the Temple Mount. This tunnel and Ark is directly under where Yahshuah was impaled. When Yahshuah was impaled, His blood passed through the cracks in the ground and dripped on the Mercy Seat. Thus, the sacrifice is according to Torah.

It is possible that it could be used in the Temple for the up coming kingdom.

I would think the Law would still apply. Therefore, the people could behold it, but only according to Torah.

Shalom
Daron

this is a good question, because I always wondered how anyone could manage to lose something that large and important. lol. it's not as if you could misplace it.

can you imagine?

*hmm. gee, i could have sworn I put it here...*

I figured it was in heaven already. I can remember Revelation stating that the Ark as being in heaven. Whether that is now or in a future time, I cannot say. But I don't think we're gonna find it. Perhaps it will be seen at the end of the age.

It is guarded by a Coptic Ethiopian Monk.

I think that's untrue. If Israel believed that the Ethopians truly had the Ark, war would ensue if it wasn't true. That claim has no real evidence to support it.

Certainly, the Ethiopian Coptic's have preserved many Jewish traditions from their evangelization by the apostles. It is said that they have the Ark, or at least know of it's whereabouts.

If any of you have ever met an Ethiopian Coptic, you will know the true meaning of zealot...and I mean that in a good way. These people are truly dedicated to their faith in a way that is definitely lacking elsewhere in the world.

And this is why I wear a coin pendant bearing the Lion of Judah emblem around my neck, along with an Ethopian Coptic cross and another Israeli shekel pendant.

Shalom all,

Daron,
I believe you're referring to Ron Wyatt's claims. With all due respect, that guy has long proved he can't (couldn't - I guess he's dead by now) be trusted. Finding the Ark was just one of his many claims, most of which are controversial, to say the very least.

I do however, believe it is hidden under the Temple Mount somewhere. The levites, having been through the experience of previous thefts, must certainly have developed some sort of underground hideout for the Ark.

In the Messiah,

I have new secret information that Pray4Isrel has the Ark in her basement. Pray4Isrel will never admit to it. She will even deny having a basement.

Yes, I have seen lots of 'theories' tossed around about Mr. Wyatt... though neither side (pro Wyatt or anti-Wyatt) have shown any conclusive evidence.

Finding the Ark was just one of his many claims, most of which are controversial, to say the very least.

Yes! Extremely controversial! I have seen strong evidence provided from the Israeli government none the less that shows some of his claims may quite well be true. However, it is radical thinking to accept these as 'truths'.

I studied this for several years and came to the conclusion that no one will truly know until either the Israeli government steps forward (which won't happen until the 3rd temple is ready to be built) or he (wyatt) is proven to be a liar beyond reproof.

shalom,
Yafet.

* intentionally avoids Aethelsige's comment ;) And for the record, we don't have basements in Florida... you should know that by now! :D

Yes, I believe Wyatt's "findings" to be "unfound" ~ Heehee
I can't say I fully doubt him, but I am extremely skeptical at the same time.

Oh there you go Pray4Isrel - yes you should ignore me for i can pull your leg really hard. I also can be very silly too, so beware.

Is it a tradition that MJs don't have basements and is that why none of them have found the Ark??

Where in Torah does it say that we don't have basements?

Where in the Torah does it say that we should?
;)

Oy Vey! Now we're really off topic!?!
