Is there an Oriental Orthodox prayer book that you can recommend to me? I would like to study how Oriental Orthodox Christians pray.

Is there a book(s) for those of the other Oriental Orthodox (e.g. Syriac Orthodox) bodies?

Dear AngCath,
You will find more information here about the forms of worship in the Syriac Orthodox Church.
http://sor.cua.edu/WOrship/index.html
and their prayer book here:
http://sor.cua.edu/Liturgy/SimplePrayer/index.html
I hope this will be of help.
Peace be with you,
Anglian

I have a copy of the Agpeya in English and have heard on agpeya.org Coptic Orthodox chanting of some selections from the Hours. Is there a printed copy of the Agpeya with notes for chanting? I have not been able to find one and didn't know if one even existed.

I have something called the "Syriac Book of Common Prayer". i'll post the publisher tomorrow (I'll have to find it) It sounds like it may be Anglican, is there an Anglican Syriac Church?

The British Orthodox Church produces an English version of the Coptic Book of Hours, Glory to God which is available on lulu.com.
I don't know of one with notes for chanting.
Peace,
Anglian

I own this book my friend. I find the hours beautiful, but to be fair I am not sure if it is intended for the Syrian Church or some Anglican Church in Syria (confused about use of the term "book of common prayer")
