H:)Study the scriptures about Christ's death and resurrection. It will be a great contrast to let everybody know where exactly the love is. Also pray for wisdom. The Spirit will help you to overcome your shyness. I know you can do this (especially since you want to), and by prayer and studying the word..nothing will stand in your way!

I know how you feel, I don't have a problem speaking in front of my church when I'm doing it. It's getting up there that's the hardest part. When you're up there speaking, just keep it cool, keep focused and know that th people aren't out to eat you. Take a deep breath, relax, if you ess up it's no bigie. Also, you don't have to rush through it at 10 zillion miles per hour ;)
Anyhow, the first verse that came to my mind was 1 John 4:10 It talks about how it's not that we love God, but that He loves us, and send His Son to die for us. An awesome verse.
But i would find a verse like that to be the diving board to the rest of what you are going to say. If you need anymore help, just ask :)

HHi there!
I can pray that God's will and words are yours....
Many times, Christians forget that satan is the ruler of this world, but only because God has allowed that to happen, and God is ultimately still in control.
You need to be "picky" about the love that you speak and spread to the world. There's a lot of "love" that doesn't come from God, so be certain that the love you teach is the love of the One, True God.

You could try and take the personnel approach and tell them what you have exprienced of God's Love. You couldn't be wrong then. I'll be there for you is a good starting point.
:prayer: That you will overcome British reserves and the Holy Spirit will guide you.

I'd look into love as Proverbs mentions it. Love is not always synonymous with peace. Much of the conflict in the world today is with people who would shut your church down, kick you out of school, and force you to cover your face in public. Sometimes love requires conflict in pursuit of the greater good. God making his son Jesus die in the horrible way he did was an act of love.

I was going to tell you to picture people in their underwear but that is probably not the best thing to do in a Church group; besides it doesn’t work, at least not for me. When I first started to teach, someone gave me that idea, so I tried it. Well my picturing turned out to be more like fanaticizing……..so forget that idea. Whenever I teach I almost always start out with a profound statement or question, with a well timed pause, or a story and sometimes a joke; sometimes interlacing the latter two in the teaching.
Possibly the best for you would be a story, a personal story as The Midge stated, you really can’t go wrong.
Some keys that might help: Never look at people directly in the eyes unless you are making a point directly to that person, always look just above the eyes at about the bridge of the nose or higher.
If it is available to have water there, do so. It sometimes provides that pause that you need……
Know your material, but don’t write it out verbatim. Use whatever notes you are comfortable with. I generally have a 3x5 with scripture references and sometimes I will use sticky notes in my Bible placed at the scripture area.
LOVE – The whole purpose of your sharing should be the love that you have for the people you are teaching. You are loving people, and giving to people, something that may change their life; that should take the focus off of the “what if I blow it” aspect. You can’t screw up if you are loving people into living.
There is not a single person; teacher, preacher, etc who does not have anticipation prior to teaching or sharing. Some call it butterflies I prefer to call em doves, it gives me the mind picture of the holy spirit and the peace {undisturbed believing} that God has given me.
One more thing - You are sharing before the best group of people in the world – Gods people, and the nice thing about that is that Jesus Christ has already broke the ice for us.
So have fun, be yourself, and give with all the love that is in your heart.
I also will pray………………………
God Bless
