You got it pretty close. humin is "you", and hemon is "our" so it's

Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:3)

Good job!

You should take a crack at the "bonus question" in this weeks question thread..

Try "http://christianconnector.com/". They have a scholarships page (it's a Christian College search site).

I work at a Baptist college and we have scholarships for Baptists... but only for women!

try this site:

http://www.guaranteed-scholarships.com/

anyone who meets the criteria (ie certain SAT score, member of nat'l honor society, or whatever) is guaranteed that particular scholarship from that particular school. i have a son who will be a freshman at baylor this fall, so i've become something of an expert on scholarship searching and the whole college thing. ask away if you have any other questions.

Here is a page that might help.

http://www.esu3.k12.ne.us/districts/millard/south/guid/currentscholarships.html

Scholarship search

http://www.fastweb.com/ (https://webmail.utk.edu/redirect?http://www.fastweb.com/)

TN and nation wide
http://www.state.tn.us/tsac/index.htm (http://www.state.tn.us/tsac/index.htm)

http://www.finaid.org/ (http://www.finaid.org/)

These are not purely Christian search sites though. Why are you limiting yourself to "Christian" Scholarships?

awesome, do you have any other links?

i'll see what i can remember. i used to have a ton of links on my "favorites list," but a few weeks ago (when all of my son's scholarship stuff was pretty much settled) i took them off my list. i had to google to find that guaranteed scholarship link i gave you. i'll try to remember some more tho.
as i tried to find schols for my son, mostly i would go to individual school's websites, and see what kind of schol's they offer.

like you, i found fastweb to be a waste of time. oh sure, some of them sound promising, but i don't know of one person who has gotten a schol. thru that site, and i know some pretty top-notch students.

can you tell me a bit about yourself, like when will you start college (or have you already), are your academics pretty high (ie good gpa/SAT), any special talents (sports, music, art, etc that might lead to a schol). if you're still in highschool your guidance counselor should be able to give you lots of info (or are you an older student returning to college, or homeschooled?)

every state awards a certain number of Robert Byrd scholarships (like 200 or so, varies by state size), so you might do a google search for how to apply for that in your state. it's $1500 a year, and in our state, recipients aren't notified until the end of july, but we're hoping my son gets it (checking the mailbox every day!) also some employers give schols, like where my son works, chic-fil-a, gives all graduating seniors who work for them $1000 if they're going to college. the elks club and (i think) the american legion give a lot of schols, so google for that info too.

Kayanne, your deleted favorite links may still be in your recycling bin.

I start college in January i am a transfer student, my GPA is 3.7, no special talents.. Didnt take the SAT, but my act score wasnt anything special, math brutalized me.Thanks for your help guysi'll admit that most of the scholarships i researched were for highschool seniors just entering college this fall. also, for the 2004-2005 school year, all of the scholarships that my son applied for have deadlines which have already passed.
do you know what school you're transferring to? have you talked with their fin/aid office to inquire about possible transfer student schols?

another option is to combine work with college, as many employers will pay for your college. a guy at my church works for....oh, i forget if its ups or fedex....and i don't even think its fulltime (i'm thinking he works something like 10pm to 2am 5 nights a week) and they pay his college bills.

oh, that last paragraph reminded me of a joke: did you hear that fedex and ups are merging into one giant company? yeah, the new company will be called fed-up. http://www.christianforum.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.christianforum.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.christianforum.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
