do out of stock items ever get restored? or are they just gone for good?
because it's mildly disappointing when something i really really like is out.

Normally, everything that's at 0 is restocked twice a month... but I don't think it's been happening lately because of all the issues with the site.

CG why does the "stock" thing exist anyway?
Don't they all use the same image, just applying it in layers?

not that it's any of my business, but even if they do have the same image, I think it's not so easy to "restock" the armory, with all the repairs going on to the site.

The reason for the armory running out of stock was so people could use the auction function. However, I'm *hoping* that both the auction and restocking go away with the upgrades...

I'd keep the auction, if only for the whole maybe we can get it for cheaper appeal. It might even raise awareness of certain items, eh?

No, CG's saying that stock levels will never go down - they'll always be in stock.

Yeah, I know it's frustrating at times - I've waited for things to come into stock too - but there have been so many problems here for a while. Anyway, hopefully it'll all be worked out next week!!! Or sometime soon!

I'm very paranoid about corrupting the armory database when the site's being flaky, which is why I don't restock or add new items when the site's being weird.
The whole armory will be changing in the upgrade, and we'll be using the Living Avatar engine with our home-grown CF characters. I think people are going to love this, but it will be something new to get used to.

This won't change how our dollies look will it?
It likes its dolly thingy and dont want changing it. :(

It won't change how the dollies look, though we'll have the option to use other style dollies as well. But, we'll gain the ability to equip basically unlimited items, and will be able to choose how they layer.
That's going to be AWESOME!

Armory is up! It replaces your avatar I believe... Go to your control panel, click edit avatar and then click on the living avatar box...

Everything re CF characters is so much smaller now. I wonder if the character will be that size if posted as one's avatar.....or bigger?
ravenscape

The preview size is smaller. Once you equip your character it's the same size as always.

Oh ok then. Thank you, Raven, and thank you for all the work you and others have done for us in the Armory!

 Not working for me. All I get is a blank box with nothing from which to choose.

You probably haven't purchased any items... The old wardrobe didn't transfer over - but things are either 0 or 1 blessings each right now! So... :)

my character is really tiny. is there a way to make her bigger?
Gregged
7th May 2008, 10:49 AM
Yes... use the crop tool. You won't get all of her in though...
Drag the crop tool to the area you want to zoom in on. Hold Shift and drag a corner of the crop box to change the size :)

I've reset the maximum size. Try re-editing your character - it should be larger now.

wow! that's huge!
thanks :)
sorry i kept complaining. i have really bad eyesight.
do the items only come in one size? because some things looked a little disproportionate.
ravenscape

If you stick with the CF Characters items, they've all been designed to go with the character. Some are cartoon-large, but that's intentional and according to the original request. If you mix and match from chibis and CF characters, things won't be proportional, but they can still be fun.
