It has been reported that there is or is going to be a shortage of grains, rice, wheat, corn. Part of this is from the production of Ethenol and the fact that corn is used in some way in almost everything. Rice and wheat because of worldwide demand and the farmers converting to corn in this country for fuel production. Many are storing flour, rice, and so on, do you think this will correct itself or get worse?

I feel, in my opinion, think its orchestrated by 'the government'.

Looks like the LDS won't have to worry.;)lol, yes, this is worldwide and there are already people becoming disgruntled in the poorer countries, I can foresee afew things that could come of this. I would advise if you stockpile that you find a good hiding spot buried somewhere whatever is good as there is a hoarding provision if martial law would ever kick in and they would take your surtplus.

The Corn Belt is by far the most productive in the world and there is plenty of crops to go around for the US. But as commodity brokers tend to do is panic. When they panic they force the prices up. Of course that causes a huge problem in production prices.

I also think that the countries that are having the hardest time of it are also dealing with corrupt gov'ts.

I also think that the countries that are having the hardest time of it are also dealing with corrupt gov'ts.Commodities traders are to be blamed for the oil as well since it is theior speculation that has added about a 1/3 of the price of a barrel of oil and yes in some ways the corn for ethenol is tied in with this. Personally, I dont know how these traders live with themselves doing this to people, judgement will be severe I think on this. It is causing so much hardship and death.

One guy stockpiles only food and another guy stockpiles only guns & ammo...when the balloon goes up, guess who eats?;)

Another thing about our food is what they are doing to the seeds - don't understand why they are doing it - but they are generically altering the seeds - lots of countries will not accept these altered seeds and bees won't pollinate them- thus the bee farmers are losing many of their bees.

The food supply is being altered - the farmers that don't want to go along with it and have their own seeds are being polluted by other farms by the wind plowing the altered pollen to their crops. It is a long story and as I said I don't understand it - maybe some of you are more familiar with it.

They are saying it is causing a lot of cancers also. I'll have to do more studying on this one - I just heard it being discussed in the news, but didn't go any farther to see what it is.
