I have truly felt spiritual peace and joy and hope since this past Yom Kippur when I realised the need for t'shuvah and to rededicate my life to the L-rd and give my heart to Him completely.

Before that point, I had little peace or joy. I had let my hair grow to the middle of my back and listened to speed metal and death metal and cussed like a drill Sergeant. And LOVED vulgar cartoons like South Park, Family Guy, Sons of Butcher, and Bromwell High. And complained about everything and generally had a horrible attutude like an ornery, rebellious teenager. It's like my wife had 2 teenagers then me and our son.

Then this past Yom Kippur when I realised I needed t'shuvah and to really give my heart to the L-rd I changed so much for the better it's like a 180 degree turnaround in my attitude. I cut my hair, stopped listening to speed and death metal, stopped watching those awful cartoons, 100% cleaned up my potty mouth, REALLY accepted Messiah Y'shua into my heart.(After hearing about Y'shua and the Gospel from the Jewish perspective I FINALLY undestood what it's all about).

I am now commited to living a G-dly, Torah observant Jewish life as a Messianic believer. And it is SUCH a blessing. I am so AMAZED at how the L-rd has changed my heart and my attitude.

And my dear wife notices the difference. I was always good to her, but now I am extra good and loving to her.

And even though she is a Christian she has been observing Pesach with me, including the seder on Erev Pesach, the week of matzah and will be attending with me the congregational seder my syangogue is having.

Baruch HaShem! Is all I can say.

Shalom,

Lebesgue

 I'm so glad you shared this! And from the posts I've read of yours just since February, I'd never have guessed! This is wonderful testimony.

And I hope not to derail your thread, but I kinda like Family Guy myself. DH and I laugh at it together when the kids are in bed.

And LOVED vulgar cartoons like South Park, Family Guy, In my book, the Torah of simchat_torah, it states clearly that it is blasphemy to speak ill of South Park ;)

I think G-d has a sense of humor. If G-d told you a joke, you'd laugh so hard that your side would literally split open.

Only the Lord could have lead you away from those things that separate you and your relationship with God.

PS.. God does have a humor, it just doesn't go the way the cartoons do.

That is how I know who is leading you.

Bless you! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these posts. They are very encouraging. Thank you for posting Psalm 119:165. That was especially encouraging to me.
May the Lord bless your coming in and going out. Blessings, Mary
