Preserve the Sanctity of Marriage

Add your name to the group of 214,482 people who have already signed using the Internet!

Existing state and federal laws may not be enough to stop activist judges and local authorities from marrying same-sex couples. It is now time for a constitutional amendment to define and preserve marriage as between one man and one woman. Please read this petition to key Congressional leaders, and declare your membership by completing the form below to add your name to the ACLJ’s nationwide petition campaign.
Petition to Preserve Marriage

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist
Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle
Speaker of the House J. Dennis Hastert
House Majority Leader Tom DeLay
House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi
All members of the United States Senate
All members of the United States House of Representatives

Marriage, as a core societal institution, must not be redefined to include anything more than a union between one man and one woman. Please use your influence to swiftly pass a constitutional amendment defining and preserving marriage as a union between one man and one woman; then, forward this amendment to the states for ratification. We urge you to take action immediately on this critical issue.

Remember to uncheck the boxes at the end of the page, if you do not want to recieve more information.

I signed this one, and the One by AFA and Grassfire.

I also have written Senators and Represenatives, (Not just mine.)

Make sure in addition to signing the petition, that you also call, e-mail or write your represenatives too.

Further in addition to the Amendment, ask them to support HR 3313 as well.

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d108:h.r.03313:

HR 3313 would remove Federal Court Jurisdiction to hear cases under the Defense of Marriage act.

This would prohibit the United States Supreme Court from Redefining marriage by edict.

Further since it is a bill, it only needs a simple majority vote to pass.
