I am sorry that you have been treated that way. Can you tell me more. I care.

I've thought about this one long and hard and I haven't reached a decision yet. However, I may be leaving CF soon.

This isn't due to anyone in particular but due to the whole atmosphere of conflict and antagonism that still pervades the SDA forums. I don't need to go into detail about anything, at least not publicly, but if anyone cares to know more, I'm more than happy to discuss it.

It's a shame these forums end up like this, but I suppose it's inevitable. Frankly, I see no way to grow spiritually here. To put it bluntly, I feel like I do not belong to either group. The SDAs on CF quite literally force you to pick a side. Well, I haven't. As a result I've had run ins with members both trad and prog.

And that is just ridiculous.

Everyone acts as though you have some hidden agenda it seems. If I interact too much on the prog forum, I get looked at suspiciously on the trad forum. If I fellowship with the trads, my next post that may be more traditional is picked apart by progs. I realize these are generalizations and I also realize I'm probably just venting, but I needed to get that out.

Just pray for me as I struggle with this. Either way I may decline to be a mod after all. I have a feeling it would cause too much conflict with everyone since I've been informed by PM of a hidden agenda I wasn't even aware I had.

So forgive my sarcasm, but to those who "forced" me to pick sides, I'm choosing the side of love and long-suffering. i.e. somewhere away from CF.

:sigh:

I dont think anyone has to choose a "side" or "label" or worry about those things, they are a distraction as I have always said. Worry about your relationship with Christ first and foremost and share what He gives especially love for one another, without fear or foreboding. Its as simple as that, dont let anyone keep you from that.........

Those with love in their heart are plain to see and are always Gods children no matter what, where, or when...

Hi,

It is almost as if you have to grow a thicker skin.

The way I see is that if you take a stand on anything, you will encounter opposition. Jesus said you shall be hated by all men for His name sake. This (wheat growing together with tares) shall continue till every end.

I hope you stick around. But whatever you decide, may God bless you and lead you. And study the bible for you.

David,

I'll probably stick around. I guess I just felt like venting and honestly, it's not all CF. I just have a lot on me right now with work, classes, and the additional stress of CF hasn't helped. Anyway, thanks for the words of encouragement and helping me put everything in perspective.

What classes are you taking?

general psychology, algebra, world civilizations, literature-based research, and art appreciation.

Go figure 2 of them would have huge "capstone" projects that are both due tomorrow and friday.

I feel your pain little bro! I had a huge speech to give tonight (I don't mind saying that it went REALLY well) about jury duty, and it was my LAST speech I have to give in my Communications class! YaY!!

However, finals are right around the corner and I'm sweating bullets trying to get everything done.

Just remember to prioritize and do your work first and chat here second because we'd really like to see more of you, sincerely.

A whole lot of wisdom wrapped up in such a young man. You are welcome here ANY time and I hope you know that!

Many blessings (another struggling college student!),

Andrew,

I know of what you are referring to in your original post. I know that both of us have been posting in both the trad and prog forums.

If all you needed to do was vent that is cool, feel free to PM me anytime if you like.

If this is really causing a distraction then of course you are better off spending time studying and praying.

I hope things go well for you in school.

Ahhh.... world civilizations, literature-based research, those were my favourite, I dont think the professors in theology at Southern caught on to my 'quick wit', I know for sure the deans in Talge Hall didnt....;)
