View Full Version : Right Division Should Effect the heart

Alright all you hard-core dispensational, chart-drawing, Paul-following saints - and I say this with much affection check this out!
If I were my preacher right now (and he is a strong dispensationalists) he would say something like this, "This is good that you follow Paul and can draw charts but if these truths are not affecting your heart then all you chart drawing is in vain!" And yes, he has said that in front of a bunch of hard-core right divisionists at a KJV Bible Converence. After he said that it was as quiet as a turkey farm on Thanksgiviing! :shock
Now let's look at this. Two questions I'd like for us to discuss, if you are interested.
1. How should right division affect the heart?
2. How does right division affect YOUR heart?
Example - knowing we are forgiven should make it easy for us to uncoditionally forgive others.
Example - knowing my position in Christ I should set my affection on things above and not have my heart drawn to the earthly things.
Your thoughts?

"We love because He first loved us." - 1 John 4:19
"Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven–for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little." - Luke 7:47
But define right division please?

No Covenants? Mystery Manifested? The One New Man? The Olive Tree?
Please define THOSE. The rest I can make sense of. I am a nondenominational, I don't know this jargon.

I'm still confuzzled... probably because I'm not really a dispensationalist, per se.

1. How should right division affect the heart?
:preach: By allowing us to focus squarely upon the grace of God.
2. How does right division affect YOUR heart?
By ensuring tears every time I hear the hymn Amazing Grace:cry:

What does that chart mean, I don't get it?

What does that chart mean, I don't get it?
It means that until Acts 28 the church had not truely begun because Israel had not been set aside and so all the Books written within the time-framework of Acts are not doctrinally relevant for the church. Usually we call these people ULTRA-dispensationalists.

I think that the church began on the day of Pentecost.

The first two words are what confuses most people. :preach:

No Covenants is pretty simple.... Israel was given the covenant relationship, not the Body of Christ. (we just got the blessing OF that future covenant).
Mystery Manifested: would be in reference to the ministry of the Apostle Paul, to whom was made known "the mystery of God". (which wasn't fully revealed until AFTER Acts 28 (the keystone).
One New Man is a reference to you and I... This was revealed AFTER the keystone. HINT: It was called NEW for a reason. ;)
The Olive Tree would then represent the gentiles position during the acts period, when they were simply grafted in to share Israel's spiritual things.
............The Olive Tree symbolizes the Religious privileges of Israel (covenant blessings) .
Hope that helps!!

Hi,
No Covenant? Boy is somebody confused. If there is no covenant in force today then eveyone is lost. The church began in ADAM and continues to this day. I guess Christ didn't die for Abraham and David , since by your understanding they are not in the church. Dispensationalsim, what a mess!

Most make the mistake of reading US into every occurance of "the church" without realizing just what that phrase means.
But thanks for DBP'ing!!

What was the hope of all those people during Pentecost and Acts?
Did they have a hope of resurrection far above heaven?
Or were they awaiting the literal physical kingdom of God here on Earth with the added reward for those who walked worthy of the New Jerusalem, the wedding garment for the Bride which will be ON the Earth?
It is certainly true that "A" church began at Pentecost, but that "THE" church which is HIS BODY?
WHy is it so hard to believe that God the Father thru Jesus Christ is gathering ALL THINGS unto Himself Both in heaven and in earth.
Did He not create HEAVEN and EARTH?
Who are those meek that shall inherit the earth? Is that you?
Or are you going to live in New Jerusalem?
Or is your hope far above all heavens?
You cant have all three, you that is exactly what Christiandom teached to this day.
What scriptures are there that establist those at Pentecost as having a heaving Hope?
Where are the scriptures which wvwn allow a Gentile to be a part of Pentecost. It was against the LAw.
Gentiles that were saved thru acts were part of the Everlasting covenant, in that they blessed Israel and were givien the fruits of their blessings.
My blessing have NOTHING whatsoever to do with Israel.
What about you......
