Since the majority of posts here have a material/external/political essence. Why not began to discuss things which are edifying and profitable for our spiritual lives? Things which will warm our hearts and Illumine our minds. I dont know where to begin so someone start us off....

I do not know what you are getting at. If you go through the majority of posts, there have been a great many dealing with questions about Orthodoxy, inquirers into Orthodoxy, Orthodox practice, etc. I have tried to share my expertise in iconography with everyone and it seems the majority of the readers of this forum are quite happy with the current line of thought which goes on here. The vast majority of what is discussed in this forum does illumine the heart and the mind. But being you think we need to discuss "higher things" why don't you be the one to suggest a "higher" thread?

Then why don't you read the post I put from the Book of Daniel, it is such a beautiful prayer!

Here is another thread which is of great value to ones spiritual growth:

And one of my favorite threads is the Conversion Stories to Orthodoxy Thread:

Another fabulously uplifting thread is the One of My Favorite Things About Orthodoxy Thread, in which each of us has mentioned the parts of Orthodoxy which touch us the deepest!

I say my brothers and sisters here at TAW have done a phenomenal job discussing prayer, edification, spiritual growth and have done a wonderful job making catechumens and inquirers feel at home in a Church which sometimes doesn't do that good of a job welcoming strangers.
