I thought I'd start a running thread for tips. I often discover them by accident!

I just discovered this one by accident:
To easily quote someone, highlight the text THEN hit the little icon that reads "wrap [QUOTES] tags around selected text". (I had been hitting the little icon, then deleting what I didn't need.)

Others?

I got chewed out on a thread one time because I was not "savvy" to these types of things... (this is my first forum EVER... give me a break people)

I hate it when people post about how horrible people are for not knowing XYZ! I say keep it to yourself. ;) When it comes to my children I am a grammar snob. But I would NEVER ridicule someone on line for improper grammar! A). We weren't all educated the same. B). None of us are perfect!

When posting a link... that is the earth pic above with infinity mark under it.... Remove the http:// that is already there. Copy and paste the link you want...you will find that there will be a highlighted duplicate of the link you have choosen... type HERE as a replacement... It makes it really cool in the thread. Then there are some of us that have pc dyslexia and can correct our spelling but not out thoughts,

If anyone does not get what I am saying, please ask, I don't speak this way in RL, I guess it has a chance between my brain and my mouth to sort better than at a keyboard. but I know others suffer from this as well, so I am not alone. :)

That's why it's always nice to ask for clarification! Sometimes we get distracted while typing and don't quite say what we mean.

That said though, I've never noticed any such problems with your threads! Mine, however, are rittled with the distractions of a 6 and 8 year old!

You want to show us a picture you found interesting on the internet. Right click the picture and go to properties. Copy address. There is a yellow envelope with a mountain scene here on CF on the posting reply area, click that and again remove the http:// and then paste address. Image should show up after enter. http://www.bbc.co.uk/tyne/features/2003/02/valentine/images/hearts_270.gif
