I heard the OCA has not been Recognized by Constantinople, is this true? And if so, what does this mean in terms of credibility for the OCA?

Thanks, and God Bless:)

Thanks, and God Bless:)If I'm not mistaken, it's their autocephaly that Constantinople does not recognize--the OCA is still canonical and everything, it's just the matter of how much control over the OCA that Constantinople thinks Moscow has/should have.

If I am wrong, please, someone correct me.

Thanks, and God Bless:)This is not true. Over the summer, Metropolitan Herman (head of the OCA) made an official visit to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. You can read about the trip here (http://www.oca.org/pages/news/news.asp?ID=377).

You can see a photo of them together here (http://www.oca.org/pages/pressreleasephotos/070503mh.w.pb.jpg). (Since I don't have enough posts to post images.)
