"Behold, I am sending an angel before you to guard you on the way and help bring you into the Promised Land. Be careful of him and obey him. Do not defy him - for He shall not pardon your sins, since My Name is with him. But should you obey Him and do all that I say - I will help you defeat your enemies." (Ex 23:20-24)

Acts 7:38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

Yeshua was the one who spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai?

I think so :)

BTW - the word for "church" is kahal lhq (This word is used alot in the Tanack and it often translated interchangably with adah/adat as congregation.) I think it would be helpful to know that there is a connectedness in the word kahal/church.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

This is where Yeshua can call the Torah His and His Father's Commandments at the same time.

Acts 7:38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

Yeshua was the I am who spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai and received the lively oracles or better known as His Father's commandments to give to us. That is why he can say His commandments and His Father's Commandments. Since He got them from His Father, they are His Father's Commandments, and since He gave them to us, they are His Commandments.

John 8:58 - "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." 57 The Jews therefore said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" 58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am." 59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple.

Picking up stones meant that He had blasphemed. The Jews understood what He was saying. He claimed to be the "I AM" of Exodus 3. That was blasphemy, punishable by stoning.
