GIRL!!!!:tutu: :pink: :tutu: :pink: :tutu:
At least that's what my docotor thinks b/c she didn't see any boy parts. I haven't had the level 2 ultrasound yet, but since I switched back to my old ob, she did an ultrasound to see how far a long I am (b/c I have NO idea). My husband is extremely bummed at the prospect of having another girl b/c that means we have to pay for three weddings but I keep telling him, maybe one of our girls will be destined to go off into a monastery, but he is unable to keep his hopes up. Now the names war begins and since he is upset about having a girl, I think I should get to name her. Okay, any suggestions? We need good Orthodox names

I always wanted a daughter that I could name Clementine.

Her patron could be Clement of Rome! ;)

lol... sending them off to monastery already??? Weddings ah... you do not have to do them big... And I know couples paying for them fifty-fifty... no biggy to me college is the expense... God bless you guys... You are so blessed to have another girl... They are true joy I love mine and wish I could have more... or them.

I like Clementine... it is cute also Anastasia (my favorite my niece is Anastasia) and I love Thekla, Philothei (of course ) or Philothea, Nektaria, Photini, Olga, Theodosia, Theodora, Marina, but why not do a search and look for a saint that you would identify with better for your daughter's name...

:D Thanks for all the names. I have to make a list and whatever I decide, my husband WILL agree, whether he wants to or not.

When I think about the possibility that I may not even live to see my younger children married (or worse, that tragedy might befall them), then it seems to me like having to pay for their weddings 20-odd years from now to be a blessing.

May God bless you and your family, RB!

You could go with the Orthodox tradition of a saint's name from the date of the child's birth. That way you wouldn't have a separate name day from the birthday.

You could always say this daughter will be a doctor, and so therefore will pay for her own wedding. :)

But start saving up for the weddings NOW!! :D

And, it's pretty likely that both families will pay for the wedding--this is what happens now-a-days. Whoever has the means, pays, whether that's the bride's fam, the groom's fam, or the bride and groom themselves. Nothing to fret about!

I told my husband we don't have to worry and that if he is so worried that we should start saving up, but it didn't help. I think he just hates girls and hates the fact that he might be overrun by them. When I was pregnant with our twins and was kind of hoping for two girls, he said if it was, he was going to take our son and move up to Alaska.

I just had my level 2 ultrasound tonight and it's deffinitely a girl. She was laying on her head and her legs were spreadeagle. I also found out that I'm due the original date of when we thought I was, which makes me a week and a half behind of what we thought I was when I got my first ultrasound, so in other words, we originally thought I was due Sept 18, but then thought it was Sept 7, now we are back to Sept 18. Oh well, I usually come early anyways. The tech told me that the new dr I had this time, should have gotten fired for not doing an 8 week ultrasound and also she shouldn't have done a doppler so ealy b/c that usually kills the baby in the first trimester. I seriously think this doctor was a midwife.

If she comes close to the earlier date, she might share her birthday with the Theotokos!
