View Full Version : Frustrated

I just wrote a long PM to a member and once I pressed "send", I waited for a long time only to be taken to a page that says, "We are currently experiencing..." Honestly, I don't remember what the words were after that. I just know that when I hit "back", I was taken back to a screen showing a PM that I was replying to, with my long reply deleted!
This is incredibly frustrating because you don't know how long I spent typing that response. If someone could give my response back I would appreciate it. I wish I could just vent but venting over a typing message does not help!

There's several other threads about this problem in the bugs section. Double clicking (or more) on threads seems to work more often than just clicking once.
It's something we're just going to have to wait out.

Also if its a long post, make sure you copy it before you hit send

other option, especially if its a long email or post, compose it on word pad or word before you copy and paste to your web browser

Just for future reference .... Apart from copying, never click "back" - especially with Internet Explorer 7. On Firefox you should be ok.
Instead, press F5 / CTRL R / click Refresh.
The browser will probably ask you if you want to refresh and send your POST information again - say YES!
If in the time you've written your PM your cookie has expired so you're logged out and so shown the login screen when you sumbit your PM, don't worry! Just login on that page and your PM will be sent.
Still best to copy though. On Windows :
1) Click in the box where you've typed your reply
2) Press CTRL and A which will select all the text
3) Press CTRL and C which will copy it.
