Hi everyone,

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm thinking about relocating to Philly this summer after I graduate college and I was wondering about parishes in the area. I'm not Orthodox yet, so I'm looking for a parish that is convert-friendly and not too big. Other twenty-somethings would be nice too. :) Thanks so much!

I've never been to any of the parishes in Philadelphia, but I painted several Festal icons for Ss. Peter and Paul Albanian Orthodox Church (OCA), and I have to say that the priest there (Fr. Stephen Siniari) impressed me greatly. He works for a shelter that takes in runaways, homeless people, and at-risk youth. There was a segment about him on the Hallmark Channel about a year ago, and they followed him while he was looking for runaways in Atlantic City. Now that his son is an adult, he is joining his father on these searches, and he talked about the dangers that his father has faced countless times but also about his determination to do it anyway. As I said, I don't know much about the parishes there, but I think I know where I would go if I lived in Philly.

I'm pretty sure Basileus on here is from a Philly parish, I'm sure you can PM him...
Also, if you post in the main area of the forum, more people will most likely see the post. :)
