The one thing that people are forgetting as I read some of the posts is this: the armpit serves a natural function; it is what it is. While a deformity is a malfunction or improperly formed unit that no longer can achieve its purpose. It thus becomes useless. The rest of the body must over-compensate for the burden that the deformity puts on it.
While I at first found this quite humorous, and I shall continue to carry it, because I think it might provide some sort of fruit in the future; it speaks volumes about how the RCC might truly evaluate and consider believers of other types.
I would never in a million years say this type of thing to someone else.

Anyways... it's a little bit later in the evening, and I have had some time to truly sit back and evaluate this whole matter. I'm by no means trying to rain on the humor parade that I started, but this new insight has definitely given me a lot more to think about.

If one goes back and views the thread, then one might see that there have been more people of the RCC persuasion that have spoken regarding the comments made by JJM. The key issue that sticks out to me is that not one of them has said that he spoke poorly of me. Instead, one even made a defense as to how I didn't understand the depth of what he meant.

I apologize for the sobering appearance of this thread, but sometimes the truth comes out after digging.

MD I was thinking about this earlier today... and there's a thread on one of the denom fora here currently running (well, I saw the title, so I know it's somewhere, but I never read it) saying something like "G-d wants everyone to be Saved" or such. And what struck me once, when coming here earlier today, was that the most some churches can see clear to say is that G-d wants everyone to be THEM... and if you aren't, then you are not only in error, but now you are a deformed part of the Body of believers??! It's truly sad that you were so ill-treated by people who try to claim to be the original "Christianity", but, by our fruits we are known, eh?
