I can't get into a few forums that I was in this morning

I can run them. I've moderated four different boards before in the past.
Could you let someone know that?
If they don't want to do that can the boards be made read only because there's lots of good info there.

That's a real shame because, to be perfectly honest, while they did not bes a perfect solution and had to put up with much squabbling, there really bes no other alternatives out there like them. Everywhere else you go, open discussion bes verboten
and horrible abuses and sick, malicious teachings that harm people take place. Moriah went to one board the other night and discovered these ppls whats not trained in any kind of psychiatric counseling literally tampering with very vulnerable mentally ill ppls (or at least ppls that believed themselves to have multiple personalities, etc. and whether they did or not they seemed pretty fragile and tractable), messing with their ideas of themselves telling them things like parts of them bes demons, etc. Really horrible, and when it tried to post something not even inflammatory just saying honestly how it felt that bes dangerous, it got immediately deleted and banned, no explanation.

At least on the DM and SW sections here ppls could openly share their views on things, even if ppls disagreed with one another they bes allowed to state that and state why and offer scriptures or research to back it up. There literally bes no decent or viable alternative that this one has found on the web yet to replace what you have chosen to remove.

But then again dealing with vulnerable persons whats got spiritual issues that don't snap to and fit the mold and clean up quick has never been CF's forte, has it.

Because nobody gives a crap how anyone else feels or how many hours people put into researching things and trying to maintain a standard of quality there and constantly appealing to moderators to cast their weight on the side of making it RESPECTABLE which would WORK instead of going the playpen route of trying to make everyone "play nice". The higher ups had wanted suggestions for the forums and I and others told them to make two different forums for the two different views but they didn't do that.
It worked for another forum on CF.

I don't know what is going on with them either. However, I've noticed that they are posting an MNPhysicist message about them in every forum - top, left. Just clicked on it and got nada but something should be up shortly. They're not in all the forums yet and I don't see that they're working yet but they eventually will. Why would it be of benefit to allow a forum to remain that there is constant strife and friction occuring in?

Those like myself that have modded those forums, it is a nightmare. The forums deviated drastically from the intent for them. A forum is not a benefit when people are spite reporting and accousing each other of lies.

If we "didnt care" we'd leave it to everyone to use as a "free for all" arena.

We closed it because we DO care about the respect of our members, for them to go unharrassed and not be falsely accused by their pasts. :hug:

OK you could be saying a few very different things there TPB so maybe you should clarify.

Either you want Moriah to believe it bes a favor to it (among others) that you closes them sections -- or you want it to feel responsible like it bes its fault you closes it. So which bes it, please. It has no time (in more ways than palatable to speak) and no patience for guessing games, sorry if that comes off blunt.

Maybe not everyone feels benefitted by it. Maybe many of us feel that but for a certain handful of persistent troublemakers -- what specialized in simultaneously scapegoating those protesting against their troublemaking as BEING the troublemakers themselves -- it could have been a decent place. MANY of us worked hard to come up with feasible guidelines and to try to tell the moderator staff what bes needed and what bes wrong, what bes bad for the place and what bes good for it, etc. but they did not seem to want to listen. One thing for starters, several of us consistently pushed for higher "academic" standards with regard to the quality of information passed off there as supposed "truth" -- that it had to meet the minimal guideline of containing factual accuracy for starters rather than consisting of tabloid crap anyone with an IQ over 80 would not buy into -- but nobody listened. No, they just let people come and turn it into a joke with ludicrous conspiracy theories and superstitious nonsense.
