Hmm, Quinoa matzah? perhaps I should try finding a recipe? I really can't affored the $10 a board price for certified. And to me, you cook something with steam like your veggies and have your matzah sitting out, you got yeast growing on there, like it or now.
It was so much simpler to be Kosher in the ignorant old days.....................:D

I thought that those who aren't going full Sephardi like me.. might want to know this (especially if they have issues like wheat intolerance or Celiac Disease like me).
The following Passover notice is from KOAOA on March 16, 2007 and
March 20, 2008.
Quinoa seed (i.e. not flour, and not flakes) under the certification
of Kosher Overseers is acceptable kfp without further checking (for
those who use quinoa on Pesach, consult your Rabbi for your own
practice). These products are sold under the brand names of Ancient
Harvest and Trader Joe's.
ed. note: Quinoa must be in closed boxes.

I can't cook and even if I could full time work and part time Grad school(it's like having 2 jobs) puts a kabosh on my being able to do much cooking.
My wife is a Christian and is learning bit by bit the Jewish stuff I teach her(she is willing to learn and abide by it for me, G-d Bless her) but given her long work hours it is unreasonable to expect her to cook.
I will just have to get what I can get at the grocery store that doesn't require a lot of time to prepare.
I may have to shlep accross LA to the Westside as I live on the Eastside which does not have much if anything in the way of Jewish grocery stores.
But I will please HaShem even if it means my stomach is half empty. HaShem is NUMBER ONE in my life.
G-d Bless.
Shalom,
Lebesgue

I just saw this again. I have decided to make a tabbulah-type salad with it to go with the talapia I am serving.

You have to check with your rabbinic authority first....my understanding
that it varies from rav to rav and that the London Beit Din has declared
it not KLP.....

I don't see why, it isn't one of the five grains and especially for me, can't be contaminated with any of the five grains.
Mine says its OK.

It is actually classified as a vegetable...so it should be okay.
Only thing I can think of is that it could be a fence to prevent
someone from confusing it with a chametz item....who knows
how rabbis come to their decisions!

Yes, I suppose it could look like millet, but I have no confusion as I am not even allowed to eat the five grains any other time of year! :)
