In Him (Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily - Colossians 2 v 9

I once saw a poster outside a church in which the preacher was advertised to preach on the subject, "The Contribution of Jesus to Christianity" Would you credit such! That is sheer blasphemy.

If there was no Jesus there would be no Christianity. In Him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge; in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. In other words, every aspect of the character of God the Father is in God the Son, expressed in the Christians life in the person of the Holy Spirit - all the mercy of God, all the love of God, all the patience of God, all the wisdom of God, all the understanding of God, all the power of God; every attribute of the character of God is in Jesus, in whom dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead.

Yes Jesus came as a man, lived for thirty-three years as a man, but the Incarnation, Life, Death, Resurrection, Ascension of Jesus are not only historical facts, but are present facts. The greatest thrill to me as I face the future with all its possibilities is to know that all power and authority is in the hands of the man at God's right hand, who is my Saviour.

I trust that over the next few days you will get a clear view of a mighty Saviour, and to realise in your heart what a wonderful Lord He is - not something or someone else other than God, but God Himself, in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, in whom dwells all the fulness od the Godhead

He is Your Saviour

I'd say Jesus made the ultimate contribution so that we have a Savior and new life in Christ. So I don't see that sermon title as blasphemy.

It is Easter weekend..

All who love Jesus have rejoiced as they have exulted in the resurrection of Jesus.

He is risen, this is factual. He is alive today....."You ask me how I know He lives........He lives within my heart"

We have been singing hymns of triumph about the Saviors victory

Thine be the glory. risen, conquering son
Endless is the victory Thou oe'r death hast won. Indeed, Indeed.

Jesus is the same, "yesterday, today, and forever"

"The Contribution of Jesus to Christianity"

Heb 13:8
Jesus is alive today....An indisputed fact

"The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch".

"Christian" was a nickname

Prior to that they were people of "the WAY". Jesus had said "I am the WAY....etc" They were know as of "the WAY"
Christianity....was/is a nickname

Jesus made the stars to shine......"By whom he made the worlds.....etc" says scripture

We are not part/members of a religeon

We are not part/members of a business

We have a person....His Name.... Jesus. We have a relationship it is ongoing!

Jesus at your Name we bow the knee, and acknowledge you as Lord.........

That is the place for us ....at His feet

Many talk about Him, Jesus, but I suspect from their speech, they have never really met Him

"The Contribution of Jesus to Christianity" Would you credit such! That is sheer blasphemy.

It is ongoing, not something in the past....Jesus is alive

All the other founders are dead.......We may ask/talk about their contribution....but not Jesus, He is still with us!!!!!
