With the marshmellows?

I have, I bought 3 bags last week at the store and already devoured one bag. Not in hot chocolate, nor in any other dish, but just straight out of the bag.

Anybody else?

I gotta go get some more before they're all gone!

I love marshmellows too! Fortunately though there are not
any kosher ones (that I know of, anyway) unless I
drive an hour to go them. If they were any closer I
would probably be shaped like a marshmellow by constantly
eating them...

For me it's the Reese's peanut butter eggs. And why? It's not like they're not out all year in their regular shape. It's just because they're out at the front of the store. Maybe next year I'll be more against them because of what the shape means! But for this year...*sigh*

These are made in Israel and certified by the OU so I am not sure unless you don't trust them to certify? They specify that they use the Kosher fish gelatin, in case anyone wants to know. :)

I am especially thankful because I have Celiac disease and can't eat many Kosher products to start with!

If they were here, I would buy and I would eat them....yumm.
But they are not in the area I live; I have to drive to town to
get them, which is an hour away. So if I have a craving for them,
the fact that it involves a schlep into town pretty much eliminates
the craving.... :)

Guess what? This week they had the mini kind! I bought two bags.

I keep wondering though, just why they are only out at Passover?

Anyone know?

Is it so we don't buy any Easter peeps? :o:eek:

LOL

Maybe a little foil wrap for the time being? Aluminum covers all kitniyot.

Not a problem for me. I only like marshmallows if they are roasted over a campfire. Especially in S'mores.
Like it's not really camping without S'mores.

Shabbat Shalom everyone!

 I like "Fluff," too! I think it is best eaten standing in the kitchen using a really big spoon! ^_^

Question: Are marshmellows a Jewish food or something?

I haven't yet gotten my hands on any. Rest assured, when I do, I'll have to hide the extra bags somewhere... (not sure where just yet) so I don't run out before our next order from our butcher..

Question: Are marshmellows a Jewish food or something?:scratch:Regular marshmallows are made with gelatin, which is usually made from the bones of animals, mostly from swine.

So the only time that kosher marshmallows are available in the stores is around Passover. Then you can find the ones that are made with the kosher fish gelatin.

I have about 12 bags now hoarded away. They are sooooooooo soft and creamy when you get them fresh like this, :yum: I can't seem to stop myself when I open a bag.

Thing is now something I used to look forward to making, rice kripsie treats ( as the ones ready made are NOT kosher) but I can't have rice krispies anymore. So not sure what to do with all my marshmallows, besides eat them out of the bag!

( I can't have graham crackers either, so no s'mores for me too. ) :(

Question: Are marshmellows a Jewish food or something? Maybe we have them this time of year because it's the one thing we can eat that is puffed up and not with leaven?
