In the New Testament, did Jesus wear a talit? In the story of the woman with the issue of blood that touched the hem of Jesus' garment. It has been thought that that was the blue thread or tassel or something. Or did he like wear a tallit and she touch it? The tallits I've seen though aren't all that long though. A Messianic Jew was on t.v. the other day. He was showing how for Christians to celebrate the Passover and was selling everything to celebrate it with, everything but a tallit and a menorah. His tallit didn't have Hebrew writing on it, just the star of David all over it. So, it wasn't exactly like, "The Ten Commandments" but he did explain about the salt water and the matzah crackers.

We had this debate some time ago. He most likely didn't wear a Tallit that would look exactly like the one we wear today- but He certainly wore tzitzit, which means He would have worn a garment that required Tzitzit, a garment which has developed over time into the Tallit Katan we wear today. If I had the patience I would find the discussion in the archives and you could follow the thread, but I'll leave that task to another.

Apart from the tzitzit, depends. The ones I wear are rather plain in comparison to others.

Contra's first response mixed with the initial OP's observations hit the nail on the head.
