....why does there have to be a limit on reps??? It's just all for fun anyway so we should just be able to rep anyone we want whenever we want.
If there has to be a limit it shouldn't be under 100 people a day.
I get so frustrated with running out of reps when I have so many friends I want to rep.

I had 20 to pass out this morning and they were all gone in less then 10 minutes.

I like to pass them out to people with little reputation but then the ones with 20 mil or more will never rep me so I need some for the ones with little reps and some for the ones with tons of reps so I can get some in return.

Up the limit on reps please!!!!

Ya know they did just up the reps for everyone. SS went from 20 to 40. And Non-SS went from 10 to 20. What I wish is that the non-ss accounts don't have a limit of repping the same person within a 24 hour period.

It's not the limit that bothers me so much it's the waiting to reload. I think 24 hrs is too long. They could cut it back to 12 hrs. And of course more reps would be nice :thumbsup:

Having some limits isn't all bad. It adds interest, anticipation and some strategy. Receiving a rep from a limited supply is more satisfying that if reps were unlimited.

Some might say. But I like to leave encouraging comments. This is great but it can be done with a 1 blessing gift when reps are depleted.

Having to wait is not fun and can be frustrating, but there are other ways to encourage while reps reload.

I lean towards agreement with these posts but prefer the status quo for now. And imho, unlimited reps removes their value entirely. They're supposed to be special - not made common to just mass rep hundreds per day.
(and if it ever got out of control, all they'de have to do is have every star be worth 100 instead of 1000 points and make it more work to gain so many points) ;) :swoon:

I like reps and repping but having that many to me is a total abuse of them. Also, people start to expect them, and alot of them, and it will put pressures on us in different ways that I don't want to have to deal with.

I believe that unlimited reps will ruin the purpose and meaning of repping altogether. And I do get a concern of people always wanting more of these things. We just got them increased to double, and now that isn't enough.

I don't mind if they're used in the blessings area as a game (for several reasons) but I think we have enough and we're having fun in the process with great fellowship.

In a way I wish they would have never started the yellow star thing.......it was much nicer without it but now that they have we have to go with it.

You don't know why certain people don't rep others.
Or, why do people with less reps rep people with higher reps so often?
We can turn this around to motive on either side...

Stop and think about your statement. There is no earthly way a person can look at rep points and know 'the number of times people have read a post of [yours] and approved.' It is impossible unless only 1 person has and he/she only has the minimum rep point power (ie 10).

Now suppose I agreed with the post and repped you. How would someone who can not read your rep comments and can only see the total know whether the 31000 points I gave were recreational or content driven? They can't. It is impossible. They can't even know whether the points represent the input of 1 or a hundred reps. They can't. It is impossible.

So you are unhappy that I was friendly and gave you a rep. You have my permission to ask a staff member to delete the rep or whatever.
