Well I'm British, but I like the idea of a baby shower, obviously we cant all pop off to Germany to help you celebrate the birth of you baby, and I know its a couple of months off yet but....

I thought that we could all bring you presents of good parental advice (which you can chose to follow or ignore) and

(as I'm charismatic...) scriptures to encourage you and to bless you and baby (and not forgetting husband) as you change into a mommy

So here goes, in those first few days, when you still hurt and you are a bit short of sleep, remember ...

you are you baby's world and you are doing a great job, even when you dont feel like you are.

I'm sure she will love this, what a great idea Catlin! :)

For me to offer some advise, I will have to think back decades, may take some while. :D

Each time I come home from a hard days' work my beloved wife of 27 years says "Baby, you need a shower!"

I need to copy these off and put them in the scrapbook! I just got started on the baby book but haven't started on the scrapbook yet.

The lambskin and baby sling were great tools to have. I used to do my chores with my baby in the sling.

I know lots of people will tell you to sleep when you can, and this is very good advice. I will also encourage to shower when you can! You never know when your next chance will be.

Whisper often the words "I love you" even when you are certain your baby is fast asleep...and 12 years old.

Sit the baby up so that they can see more of the world around them.
