Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Not what I was interested in pointing out, only that the scriptures cannot be broken. Your interpretation does not keep with the verse in what it actually says. But let's divert back to topic.
Please supply your evidence for this epoc.

John 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Psalm 82
A psalm of Asaph.
1 God presides in the great assembly;
he gives judgment among the "gods":
2 "How long will you [a] defend the unjust
and show partiality to the wicked?
Selah
3 Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless;
maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
4 Rescue the weak and needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
5 "They know nothing, they understand nothing.
They walk about in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 "I said, 'You are "gods";
you are all sons of the Most High.'
7 But you will die like mere men;
you will fall like every other ruler."
8 Rise up, O God, judge the earth,
for all the nations are your inheritance.

2 Peter 3:8 But beloved, be not ignorant of this one things, that one day is with the L-RD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Adam died 70 years shy of 'one year'.
Also I think you asked something like this elsewhere in a riddle. Adam 'died' the day he chose knowledge over life, The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was not to be taken of. But there was another tree there, the tree of life. HaShem has always told us to 'choose life' throughout Torah! Adam did not, thus when he choose to eat from that tree he choose death. He did not expire on that day, but his death sentence was then written, it just took that long to carry it out.

:) I do understand that verse, but the people back then were literally long lived.

The reason the Jedi Angel wielding a lightsaber to keep the Adams family from eating of the tree of life was to prevent them from making their fallen state eternal. http://images.wikia.com/swfanon/images/4/48/Double_Bladed_Lightsaber_Smiley_Cyan.PNG

Anthropologist can estimate how old someone was by looking at things like teeth (which wear down with age) and joints (which get worn also). So far, no evidence that anyone lived more than 900 years. Inflated life-spans are part of ancient near eastern lore.
