I want to thank you all for your prayers for my Grandfather George over the last few months. He passed away peacefully very early Thursday morning. I was holding his hand with my father and his two other children were with him as well. He was 95 years old and had lived a really good life. It was his faith that helped me know my own and was a constant inspiration. As many of you know, I was very close to him, and while I am happy that he is at peace I miss him very much. He was a founding member of Orthodox parishes in Boston and Cape Cod (where he retired with my late Grandmother, who passed 15 years ago) and had served on the parish council. He and his brothers owned two successful restaurants before the area was taken by eminent domain and he went to work at a bank. He was a great husband and a great father and grandfather and a strong provider. I don't know what else to say about him but he was a really really wonderful guy and an amazing Orthodox man. I wish you all could have known him. I pray that his memory is eternal and that I come even close to honoring that memory. Lord Have Mercy.
