I'm really sorry that I disappeared and was not able to respond to posts that I was involved in. I suddenly found myself totally unable to access the site for some reason I know not.

I contacted Henaynei via another site and asked for help. She kindly contacted Tishri1 to ask how I could overcome the problem. All eight computers at home could not log on! There were no problems with any other websites at all!

The only responses I got were from Henaynei who was trying really hard to get some help for me, and was so kind.

I did get an email asking me to log on to the site and send them an 'internal' email but of course I couldn't - that was the problem!!!

I did a 'WhoIs' search on the internet and emailed Mr Lee, the IT guy for the site - no response. I found Erwin's email address by the same means and sent him two emails - no response whatsoever!

I think it is apalling for a Christian site to be so unhelpful and not to even acknowledge that you have contacted them, whether as a moderator, an IT guy or as Owner.

Well your back now so that is the main thing. Have a site that I used to regularly use that I can't, for what ever reason, access now either.

8 computers??? My kids need to come and visit you. At least there would be no agruements over the computer.

Hi Tea. It is the principle of it - it's meant to be a Christian site. It doesn't take a few minutes to at least acknowledge an email or, if you can't do that activate the auto receipt facility, but at least do something.

8 computers - My wife has a desktop and laptop; I have a laptop and handheld; my oldest daughter has a desktop, handheld and a laptop and my youngest daughter has a desktop and wants a laptop! We are an out and about family in different ways.

Ee-gads, you've just reminded me that I need to set up email daemons on our servers.

Yes I agree it is the principle of the issue, and I didn't mean to make light of that.
My apologies.

Glad you made it back HaReb :D

Just a note of justification for Erwin - he hasn't owned this site for many months, he sold it, and probably doesn't even get/read email from this site anymore.... the new owner is LeeD :D

but, again, Welcome back :D Barukh HaBa ;)

Thanks for that. Erwin is still shown as the legal owner - I guess the transfer isn't complete. Lee D is the guy shown as being the IT wiz kid to whom I sent two emails - neither returned or answered. Whoever owns it one might have thought a response would be warranted, if not from them then maybe from Tishri1.

Anyway, it looks as if it's all falling on deaf ears. But thank you so much for your help.

Visionary,

I have ackowledged her very helpful assistance - my complaint does not reflect on her, badly, at all.

I think you perhaps need to re-read the OP!

Never said that... just letting you know, we knew of your situation because of the thread Henny started.

Henaynei - I don't know. I have the site as a tab (IE7) and it just came back to 'life' a few days ago! I noticed that it no longer showed a problem. My computer hasn't changed so I've no idea how it started, or how it ended!

It doesn't need a great debate - I was voicing my concern that, apart from your help, there wasn't even an email to say they had received mine. Just seems a tad un-Christian to me.
