Does God want Christians to know who "the man of lawlessness" is in 2 Thessalonians 2? http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Thessalonians%202&version=49

Does God want us to know who "the (11th) little horn" is in Daniel 7?

If we are expected to know who these represent, in Eastern Orthodox thought, how does one find out? (If you don't think God wants Christians to know, your silence is sufficient. No need to say so.)

Probably the best way we approach matters such as this represented by the Christ's parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25:1-13 with the final passage: "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." Also note Matthew 25:31-46 on the final judgement which is the annual liturgical preaching this Sunday March 2nd (of course, it is always preached in a general sense). If you can, it may interest you to observe the liturgy this coming Sunday if possible (for curiosities sake perhaps).

I invite input in the forum section entitled, "Patristics" concerning the ECF's statements there about the man of sin.
