I just wanted to share this with you guys here.

When I was in highschool I decided I was never going to have kids because they were too expensive and I'd never get to do all the things l wanted to do....
Now I'm a SAHM and I LOVE it. I coudln't imagine life without them.

Kids just say funny things and I just wanted to share a few funny moments with you and hope you will share some as well!

My oldest is 2 1/2 yrs. old and in the last month she's really taking off with talking in sentences. 3 or 4 at a time. The tone that she uses astounds me... because she sounds as if she's 4 or 5. As I was in laundry room I called for her to bring me her pillow. She got it and brought it to me. Shw atched as I put in a freshly cleaned pillow case and I handed it to her adn told her to put it on her bed. She looked up at me and said," OK Mama." I said, "Thank you Jordan." She turned around and said in an adult matter-of-fact vioce, "No... thank You Mama!"

Yesterday she looked a the mud puddles outside our home and said, "Look Mama, puddle muddles!"

:D :D :D

I can just hear her saying that too. It was so cute the other day when she was looking for her cup. She was clearly looking for something and saying, "Where's my cup?" as she was looking.

Puddle muddles! That is wonderful!

I have a niece who is almost three, and she's adorable too. She wanders around talking, and the bookworm trait runs deep - she settles down with anything 'book'ish, including the catalogue from the liquor store (!) and 'reads', and if someone interrupts her she looks up and says 'shhh! not now, I'm reading.'

...on the downside, she's on Troy's side of the family. Hence, as they are all tall and I am 5'1'...she's already half my height.

Kids are wonderful. I want some of my own, but I'll wait a few years I think :)

Awhhhhh................kids are wonderful! I was talking to our niece (she is almost 3 1/2) the other night on the phone and she was telling me she the moon (the lunar eclipse night) and that it looked like chocolate. ^-^ How funny! She always asks on the phone, "What are you doing Jo Jo" and I will answer and then she asks it again, so I answer with something else. She will keep asking it until I change the subject. Then she breaks out with "Why?" a million times. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Yeah, that's not a bad idea...(waiting a few years) My husband and I were waiting..we'd been married a year when we were surprised...lol! At that time I wasn't too excited about kids, but God knew best.

Kyrie,LOL! the liquor catalogue?
Jordan loves to read too. She sits in her car (bed), and "reads" her books.

BMW,
That's too sweet! WE've not gotten to the why's yet, but I fear there will be coming soon...haha!

My niece was asking the why's when she was 2!!!!!!!!!!!! I can only imagine how it was then! We live on opposite coasts from her :( !!!!!!!!! She likes to read too! I guess when she's on the potty she sits with a book and reads! LOL!!!!!!! ^_^

We too want to have a baby. The first 3 1/2 years of our marriage I didn't and then while hubby was in Korea I decided then I did! So............now for 2 1/2 years we have tried (but there has been 1 1/2 years of on and off separation due to deployments, etc.). So some day we will be blessed with one that also says and does the cutest things! Anyway..........Kyrie.......children are a blessing and God knows when the right time for us is! :D ;)

Ah, yes...

Last weekend my wife asked our 2 year old daughter to check to see if her older older, who is 6, was in his room and watching cartoons and if he was sucking his thumb. So basically, she was given some surveillance work to do. So the 2 years makes her way to the room, and a couple seconds later we hear her in a loud voice asking "ARE YOU SUCKING CARTOONS?"

Our youngest (now 16!)....when she was 4, developed an upset stomach in the middle of the night. At the time we lived in a VERY small apartment, so when she began to vomit (sorry) we heard her and ran to her bedside.

She had finished making quite the mess and looked up at us and said to my wife, "Mommy, I am all wiggly." She was shaking and cold and nervous from the episode, but she was so innocent and cute.

..... and on a weirder note....

when our oldest (who is now 19!) was 6, she had to have a tooth pulled (some cutting involved) that was preventing new teeth from coming in. She was scared and we took her to a "childrens dentist" who gave us a mild sedative to administer an hour before the event. About 1/2 an hour before the surgery she is laying in my lap having a grand old time and she looked up to me and took her hand and touched my bearded face and said, "Daddy, you have such nice chicken skin!"

To this day, those two quotes live in our home!

God bless the children!

I love the chicken skin story!
Mom has an almost identical story, as your first one, on me. She told me that I asked her if I was going to die...:P (was also 4 at the time).

On waiting, it's possible to wait too long.
In my 40's now with two younger kids (not counting my oldest, a teen), and I have to say that I feel much more exhausted than I did ten, and certainly 20 years ago, dealing with the little ones all the time.

In my case it wasn't purposeful waiting - just how things worked out - but even so, I wish I had had all my kids before I was 30.

Our youngest ( 2 and 3/4) came home from a weekend with his grandparents and grandfather said to mom (in Russian), "Well, we ate, slept, played..." "And little Andy goes "And smoked!"
