View Full Version : No, I Haven't Been Prosyletized

That's all. I haven't.
Probably because I'm un-prosyletize-able. :sorry: :)
Most of the folks that have been alluded to, I consider friends--in that ghostly Internet sort of way :D --and they have never tried to dissuade me from my beliefs.

Slight change of topic but I always get proselytized to by militant atheists and God-mockers.
I think most of them think if they can talk enough "hatred" against the Bible that somehow I'm gonna venture over to the dark-side and join them. :ebil: Like yeah, as if I'm ever going to believe them over God.
But little do they know that when they spout their drivel it only makes me love God even more.:pink:

I always think it is a little amusing that atheists deny the existence of God out of one side of their mouths, while they talk about how much they hate Him out of the other side. :D "How could a loving God...." etc. etc.
They're taking a lot of trouble, hating Someone who purportedly does not exist. :)

EXACTLY!!! Which I always happen to point out to them but somehow their "rational" and "reasoned" sensibilities seem to miss the irony in it!

I find the entire idea revolting.
Only one human being alive had anything to do with me going back to Judaism. And that is myself.
Nobody "talked" me into it. Nobody "led me astray". I felt moved, convicted and did what I thought was right FOR ME.

Pray for this forum. Pray that our faith is stronger than discussions. Pray that we are not afraid of discussions. Pray that we all can continue to fellowship. Pray for the weak in faith who fear the dreaded word "proselitizing". Pray for a renewed connection to God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit that nothing said on this forum can move you from believing in the work God is doing in your heart.
Pray for the Adm, mods, and other support teams involved in the decision making process of this forum make their decision based on love and understanding, rather than fear and protectiveness. It is with a sad heart that I see this "proseltizism" is even an issue. God is suppose to cast out all fear, He is suppose to give us great courage, and He is to give us great strength of faith,... but sadly those still on milk, who need the security of consistency, outlines and guidelines; we must protect even if it is at the loss of a part of the body in fellowship. Seriously pray... this may be a virtual reality, but it reveals reality of many hearts. Messianic mission can not return to Apostalic Judaism without breaking down both walls. Paul worked on both sides and so should we.
Serious question: Are we strong in our faith? Do we truly understand and have a living connection with God and fear no evil? If the answer is no, then pray for the separation from those who think differently. If the answer is yes, then pray that you will gain better insight and knowledge in how God moves on the hearts of men.

Well, guys I think this says it all and to my mind explains some
of the posts recently attacking Jews and non-trins.
All the recent threads about people trying to proselytize others;
someone even going so far as to say they were hoping to be
reported so that they could "appeal things"
These kind of actions truly sadden me.
I feel like someone is trying to "set us up"
and get us removed. Which is the forum owners
right, of course. I think it will not be long until we are banned
from the forum, which will be a sad thing indeed.
I'm going to Israel for a month in two weeks, and I would not

the regular posters here are of such shallow faith that
they are easily dissuaded from their beliefs from all
the "anti-missionaries" at work here :o

Mods, administrators....those who influence how

This was made at the time by a trinitarian messianic:
Ah, but the men who made these interpretations of the Scriptures were all Chrsitians at a time when Christianity was united.
They were also formed at a time before New Testament canon was even formed. Even "UNcommon folk" didn't have it. It didn't exist as such.
Until those same "men" that put together the creeds also put together the canon. It didn't fall out of the sky the way you now have it. The books were carefully chosen.
If you are going to accept the legitimacy of the New Testament canon, you similarly have to accept the creeds. They are both built upon the same authority base.
It's also why NON-Christian groups such as the Ebionites were free to reject both the canon of the NT and the creeds -- because they rejected the same authority that underscored both.

I have more post from more regualrs of this forum, but it gets Uglier.

Like I said. They become Christians, and they stop thinking of themselves as Jews and start thinking of themselves as Christians INSTEAD. We have ALL of us been sold this balogne that one cannot be Jewish if one has faith in Yeshua. It is the assimilation line. Do you think I'm just making this stuff up?

fine by me, although I would think it better to be presenting
evidence to those who make the decisions controlling the
forum. If you've done that, then I would suggest sitting

ST: all of us with a modest education know about how this story in John 7 is not in the earliest manuscripts, as well as the ending of Mark. The better of the modern translations will contain a footnote to this effect. These parts are kept in the NT because basically when the Church adopted its canon, it adopted it WITH these additions, thus adopting the additions as well.
Can you offer another of the "many many examples" ?
***
The conversation here in context is discussing why the NT is bogus scripture. Mind you, posted by someone that has changed their icon from trinitarian messianic to something else..

They're taking a lot of trouble, hating Someone who purportedly does not exist. :) I have learned through quasi councelling with atheists over the years, that they truly don't deny G-d, they would like to make him non existant because of some past or/and present very painful thing in their lives. They need lots of gentle correcting and love as only Yeshua can put in us for them, and prayer for guidance in how to deal with them as lost and hurting individuals.

Blimey! you clearly haven't come across the God-mocking cursing haters then! Have you seen some of the vile and disgusting sites that exist on the internet? The ones who know the truth but set themselves against it with a vengeance and less respect than they would give the average human being. The ones whose primary delight and aim is to trip up a Christian with the sole intent to undermine and if at all possible, cause them to lose their faith in Christ.
Sorry, but there are real "lost and hurting individuals in the world" and there are also "swine" and Jesus said not to throw "pearls" at the latter. There's also a time to shake the dust from sandals when one comes across a ferocious God-hater lest they rip you apart.

Who said I haven't? :) I am well aware, more than you know of the sites in existence. Not going into details you would be surprised at who some of the members are who are also parts of Christian Forums on the internet. Do you think there are non G-d mockers/haters that are atheists? I just see them as Yeshua did. And deal with them as Yeshua said to. Pray for them, love them. And keep John 3:16 in your mind. For how will they believe if those who know him, turn away from them?
There is a time to know what to do, and it takes a lot of discernment, some have it others don't and resort to dusting off their feet from a witnessing area as soon as they see something anti-G-d.
We can never be the judge if someone really knows the truth or not because a past event may be blinding them to it. But isn't that soul worth trying to save? No matter how vile they may seem, were any of us any cleaner when we came to know?
If your worry is that you may fall hanging around them then you are wise to know your limitations and until you grow in your faith, this missionary field may not be for you, but you can't say it isn't for others more mature in their faith and trust in Yeshua to reach out.
