View Full Version : Prayer request

Protoevangel

I would like to ask for prayers for good secure employment; that God's just discipline for my foolishness be lightened and shortened. Please pray that my family be shielded from the effect of God's discipline, that I alone and justly deserve.

prayers for you, Proto, and your family

(sometimes it is for our benefit, and sometimes our trouble is for the benefit of others around us - perhaps for someone we're not even aware will benefit)

Yes Proto, may it be done in the Name of our Lord as you have asked. :crossrc:

Thank you everybody. I appreciate the prayers more than you all can imagine.

My name is Daniel.

BTW: I just now realized that my original request made it look like I got fired or something. That's not the trouble; in fact, tomorrow, I have an interview for some FTE positions here where I'm currently temping. If that does not work out they may still keep me on as a temp for a while longer, and I can probably go back to Intel (for another year contract) after April 5th.

My foolishness, and what God is allowing me to endure some hardship over, is some huge financial problems that I have been ignoring since I was let go from my last FTE job. As I ignored the problems, they have festered and grew. One of them slapped me pretty hard yesterday. If I don't take care of them, they have the potential to be devastating, but I honestly don't have the means to anything with them at this point.

Anyway, I shouldn't be unloading all this on you all, but I didn't want to make you think it was worse than it is.

Now, since I am supposed to be fasting from CF (all non-work computing) on fasting days, I'll catch up on this tomorrow.

Thanks again everybody!
