I'm happy to know that, before he died, Bob Marley became an Orthodox Christian. Why hasn't this made Orthodoxy more popular in the states, where he is so well loved?

I think most people you ask would tell you Marley was a Rastafarian.

He was for most of his life, but was baptized into the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church about a week before his passing.
That fact is not always shared for some strange reason.

Truth will always find a way into the light of day. I'm happy for anyone who finds salvation be it young or old or just before you die! Orthodox needs to be out in the open more for the sake of all who are lost and/or following an incorrect dogma. There is a new generation raising up now who did not suffer opression (i.e. Coptics) who I truly believe will be more vocal in their Orthodox faith. May it be so in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit Amen
