Yes, the new Nazarene icon is way cool! It's a joy to look at, isn't it? :)

Congradulations to all my Methodist, Wesleyan, and Nazarene brothers and sisters for their subforum's official name! You all have excellent taste in choice!

Yes, we named forum after our mutual, if inadvertant, founder, an Anglican priest. I knew you would approve, O Great and Powerful One. ;)

I wouldn't mind if Father Wesley actually left the Anglican Church and started a new one; he was an excellent and dedicated Christian first and foremost and you'll hear the same from every Episcopalian/Anglican.
The Methodists, Wesleyans, and Nazarenes as far as I know have a true Historic Episcopate and are, IMO, fully members of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church just as much as we A/Es and no less either.
Please don't take what I said in my congrats then as a stab; it really wasn't meant as such. Besides, I know better than to deal aggressively with the Planny-One, Borg of Perfection ;)

From what I've been told, he would have minded very much, but bowed reluctantly and graciously to how things worked out! We UMCer's were the Methodist Episcopal Church until we merged with the Evangelical United Brethren, and most of the churches I've attended are plenty old enough to say that on their cornerstones, a fine thing, I think. I like to stop and comtemplate the cornerstone of a church for a few minutes after each service. I also belonged to one with an E.U.B. cornerstone, when I lived further east. :)
Without exception, I have been treated with true brotherhood by every Anglican/Episcopalian I have ever had the good luck to meet. What an incredible man Wesley must have been! Do you know the "miracle baby" story? I've been meaning to start threads asking this question in both our fora.

See how you are? Huh? Huh? See? See?

Of course they weren't a stab; they were obviously sincerely meant! I just couldn't resist teasin' you! Are you trying to tell me you already have enough friends here doing that, and don't need me to perform that service for you, O Great and Powerful Oz? Surely not yet! ;)

A great new name, a neat icon for the Nazarenes, some great food and fellowship, a place to gather for prayer, and a place to blow off steam---sounds like our corner of cyberspace is coming together nicely.

I'm so excited about our new name! I think it is great! Special thanks to whomever suggested it (was it Polycarp1?)!!!
No it was a former Nazarene that loves John Wesleys and His quote "The world is my Parish"
I would bow , but that would not be humble.:>)
God Bless you all !
