What are the major differences between the Coptic and Eastern Orthodox faiths? I only know a little about both from Religion classes, but would like to know more.

Dear Theo,
It probably depends who you ask.
if you look in on this site www.orthodoxunity.org (http://www.britishorthodox.org/www.orthodoxunity.org). you'll see that there are those who would argue that the differences are ones over language and interpretation rather than real ones.
There are. of course, those who would argue another case.
My own view is that after nearly 1600 years apart, most of the real differences and historical and cultural. But one of these may be quite important.
The EO have a tradition of being the Imperial Church, whilst we have one of being persecuted and being one with the suffering servant Himself. Perhaps this, too, does not matter.
In peace,
Anglian
