Hi
I am wondering what is the proceedure a member would undertake to report an incidence of a staff member reproducing material from reports or PMs on another site.
While I realise CF can not police how staff act on another website, I find it appalling that a person who is trusted with the innermost workings of dealing with members and is in a senior leadership position would reproduce report or PM material word for word on another website, not even bothering to trouble to disguise the name of the person who wrote the quoted material.
I can understand that working as a mod must be stressful, however the de stressing should be done in private and not by reproducing confidential material on another site
So, how is this dealt with, cant it be dealt with?

I would think the best suggestion is, if this is being done is, if its a mod or supermod PM the admin of their team. If it's an administrator or super administrator , give it to the RT by posting it in the suggestion/complaint box. It breaks confidentiality even if its at another site. Does this help?

Oh.. a big no no... I thought staff had this one all bottled up a long time back now.... If you listen to what was told to us back then... we were pretty screwed. Erwin use to say he couldn't police other web sites.. well I can agree.. but certainly you can police your own staff an if evedeince is brought that this has happened, they should be dealt wit accordinly.
Kinda crazy how many staff members I've talked to over the past few years who deny permission to me to use thier own words in some form of a public fashion, an then find out they can spew whatever they like to whomever they like jes bout whereever they like.
I still disagree wit the whole pm'in thin personally... I mean honestly, lots of luck gittin anythin done there... but if I were you I would copy down all the evedence as it has been discovered so that a record can be kept so a ... conveint 'cover-up' doesn't git started like has so often in the past. Copy links, take screen shots etc etc. After you've done that you might go ahead an send a pm to the staff member that's done this an copy it to their supervisor. Perhaps... hope an pray... the staff member will actually realise the error they've made, fix the leaked information an apologise for it.
I would also very much like to know who the staff member is, while I don't want anyone slandered er the like, I do keep a bit of a runnin total of those I think I can trust an those I know will stab me in the back. Those that can not be trusted I simply do not converse wit.
We all screw up from time to time, but reprodcin a report wit a copy paste job on another site isn't a boo boo. That's done knowin that they are violatin the privacy of others.... now... of course... it wouldn't be a problem at all if this place would open the staff back up, open the reports, let folks actually see what's goin on... rather then hidin everthin, keepin it all secret an then leavin the members to come up wit thier own ideas... it's always been a credibility issue wit staff as a whole, an they jes flat out don't help themsef's out more often then not.
