Lately there has been quite a bit of attitude on the forum, from multiple posters, on every end of the theoligical/political spectrum.

We need to look at ourselves, we spend too much time ooking at each other.

I am as guilty as everyone else, of attacking and marring others. I get angry and i say things that are wrong. But I am not alone.

We ALL need to see our own faults. We ALL need to admit our Failings.

Before you attack rudeness, ask, am I also rude?

Before you attack Cruelty, ask, am I also Cruel?

Sarcasm, bickering and anger is going both ways, and damn it, we need to get ourselves, as Christian adults under control.

It is a cycle, sarcasm breeds snark breeds contempt breeds sarcasm. Lets

We are so quick to correct others, to judge others, to hold ourselves above others. We all need to realize that we've ALL been wallowing in the mud. I am as dirty as anyone else.

We should not hold ourselves above another, or hold contempt for another, because we are all jerks.

We need to dig ourselves out of this mess, or we have no hope of a Christian future.

Cola, you are right, and it's a life-long task. We won't be able to solve in in one day (or one thread:) ).

We should really spend more time in prayer that we might align our wills better with that of Gods will. All of us have failings, but I do think we all have the desire within us for change in our own souls, and a closer relationship with Christ.

It's a funny (strange) thing belonging to this board. We're really quite a small group (the regulars, anyway). We are bound by our human nature to go through some times of tension.

One day at a time, so the saying goes.

Let there be love, and let it begin with me.

Hope so.

I personally am blissfully ignorant. :)

Welcome back, AngCath!

Case in point, haughty sarcasm, in a thread about humility and reconciliation.

Typical though.

And we have seen this from both sides, in this thread and many others.

And we have seen this from both sides, in this thread and many others.

And if that could be acknowledged its a step in the right direction. With the exception of you, who really does struggle to see both sides, most of us only snipe at the other "side" and sees their side as perfect.

If we could all just acknowledge our own guilt in this, truly not patronizingly, than i think we could go further. But as it stands..... im not sure it will ever happen.

I agree with you COla and I actually think it is one thing thats puts people off boards - however I will say that when people write things there are usually two ways of reading it also. I am sure lots of things come over to the reader as arrogant when in fact the person who is writing it wants to come over as sensitive.

I do agree with you though, in general there is alot of bickering and not much unity so I am glad that you brought the subject up - and its FOrum wide too!

Lets get back on track.
