The unforgivable sin is not to speak against God. Because that would mean that many of us who were once non-believers would be doomed already. There would be no chance for us to repent because we had spoken against the holy Spirit.
To speak against the Holy Spirit and have it be unforgivable is basically saying that the holy Spirit will always reach out to you to lead you to repentance. But if you keep saying no to Him until your last breath, then it is unforgivable.
Put it this way, You may not agree with Jesus teaching at first, but throughout your whole life, the Holy Spirit will speak to you in many ways, trying to lead you to Him.
I hope this helps!
May God bless you

By not accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, thus not being born-again.
The blood of Christ is sufficient to atone for all sins, but denial of accepting him is unforgivable.
Romans 8:7 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ
John 6:37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
Hebrews 6:11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

I am going ot have to disagree with the replys so far...If we read before what happened we can shed light on this subject.
The bible says:
Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
But lets look what happened before Jesus said this:
Mat 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
Mat 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
Mat 12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
Mat 12:27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
Mat 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
Mat 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
so the Pharisees were saying he did this by the power of Beezlebubb(Satan) so Jesus responded with
Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come
Therefore, to commit this sin, I think is very very hard ot do today, because we cant see Jesus performing miracles as he did back then:)
Some people go as far as saying about Benny Hinn, and other fait healers, Church Of God churchs around here in particular, that if you say that what Benny Hinn or someone else is doing isnt Godly, then thats the unpardonable sin, so am I saying that? dont know... I dont really get into that subject:)
God Bless

I disagree. It's not limited to the miracles, it's about people who make an enemy of the Holy Spirit by accusing the Holy Spirit of being evil.
There are many people today who publicly accuse God of being evil. These same people also call evil good.
If they die without repenting of this then they will die in a state of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit. This will earn them a one way ticket to Hell (if they don't repent before they die).
