How do you show your love for christ?

One of the most practical ways is by showing love to all people. This is not meant to boast (God forbid!), but I try to be very aware of how I treat all people throughout the day. I may pray for the cashier as I wait in line, and if the person in front of me has been rude to her, I go out of my way to try to be cheerful and understanding of the difficulties of her job.

I try to be aware of the needs of other people, which could be due to circumstances such as illness, unemployment, rebellious children, marital problems.

I try to be humble (although this post may not sound that way!) and respectful toward others' beliefs. I know that I must love even my enemies, and my favorite Bible verse is Jesus' words "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." If Jesus could have that much love for his enemies, as He hung in pain on the cross, surely I can love and forgive people whose offenses toward me are immensely smaller than killing me.

I think those are both the same thing. "Whatever you do for the least of these, you have done for Me."

I think this should be the longest thread in this whole forum! Why aren't more people answering?

Not well enough, I'm afraid.

Only rarely do I feed the hungry - I have worked in a soup kitchen a few times and I give to charity. Yet, I sit here with a very good meal at my desk while literally millions have starved over the last decade.

give water to the thirsty - I have witnessed, but I think it is probably ineffective. I think it is actually easy to "tell" people about Jesus. I think it is quite another thing to "provide a witness."

clothe the naked - I do give clothes to charity - but this phrase means so much more. How have I protected those without protection?

and I have visited a prison only twice.

I am not worthy of his love or his salvation....

but he gave it to me anyway....

what a marvelous Savior.

How do you show your love for christ?

What does Jesus say are the two most important commands?

I try to walk in grace. I try to honor Christ and his sacrifice on the cross by living out grace and showing his grace to others.

I don't always make it, but fortunately for me, He is faithful even when I'm not.

What does Jesus say are the two most important commands?
To love the Lord with all of you heart, with all of your mind and with all of your soul. The next command is to love your neighbor as yourself.

I would say that is how we are to show our love for Y'shua.............

It is a most important question! I love Christ by taking care of my mother who is disabled and confined to bed, and has lots of daily needs, that she cannot do for herself. Also by sending money whenever I can to pastors in Africa and India who run orphanages and help widows. And by helping those I happen to come across, as often as God brings them my way (such as the homeless), and giving away garden fruit and vegetables to those who can't afford fresh produce. And by interceding for others, and teaching youth about various aspects of growing in Christ, with an emphasis on helping others. And by speaking out and praying concerning the war and occupation in Iraq and the tens of thousands of innocent victims.
