I have been to some WELS congregations, and am a member of one, and something that I have noticed is that there are so few of us who are between 24ish-35ish.. How is it like in your congregation?

My husband and I are almost the only people in our church who are this age. The old people say most kids go to college and never return to church. Why is that?

Any suggestions how to get more of the welsers my age to actually go to church?

Alot of grey heads in the Lutheran church. There seems to be quite a few young pastors though. My church's secretary told me that during 2006 there were no baptisms at all in our church!

we have quite a few -- a lot are young married couples -- i think it has to do with location -- st louis has a big population (not neccessarily wels) and has a lot of growth with companies hiring, etc

I wish we had more people my age. I don't mind the old ladies, they're precious, but it would be neat to have some friends at church closer to my age as well.

I'm sure you know a lot of people around your age. Invite them. :)

No I don't because I recently moved here.
But 'back home' I used to invite my friends, and some of them actually came. :D
