I know all the occultic groups, and the Muslims are in a hubub about Nov 9 and all the astrological events on that day, so I never know what to make of it from a biblical point of view. I'm sure Satan also wants to put his slant on things if they are actually from the Lord. ...anyway I found this interesting:

from the Biblical Astronomy site: (you have to click on "newsletters" at bottom and go to Nov. 2003 newsletter)

TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE

On November 8/9, 2003 there will be a Total Lunar Eclipse that will be visible from the Americas, Europe, Africa, and western and southern Asia. There is a fairly high probability that the moon will appear blood red from certain areas of the planet during the eclipse; one such area being Jerusalem, Israel.

The eclipse will be at its peak on November 9th around 3:10 a.m. Jerusalem Local Time and will be visible (barring overcast) high above the western horizon. The astronomical conditions for the moon be appear blood red in color for observers in Israel are good but somewhat borderline. I have e-mailed some contacts in Jerusalem and it is hopeful that at least one of them will stay up to the wee hours after the end of Shabbat to observe the eclipse and send me a report on what is observed. If it is a blood red eclipse, then it will be the first one seen from Jerusalem since the blood red eclipse that occurred on Passover 1996.

This eclipse will be visible throughout the continental United States at various stages. It will most likely not appear blood red from any area in the United States.

Total Eclipse of the Moon, November 8–9, 2003

CST 7:06 PM (NOV 8th), it will already be Nov 9 in the Middle East when the eclipse begins.

Charts 334 and 335 below (see link for charts)show the position of the moon in the sign and constellation Aries (Heb. Taleh, The Lamb) during the peak of the eclipse as seen from Jerusalem at 3:10 am local standard time on November 9. THE MOON IS IN THE HOLLOW OF THE THIGH OF THE LAMB>>>>>>

Gen 32:25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
Gen 32:32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not [of] the sinew which shrank, which [is] upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.

Is Israel about to be touch in the "hollow of their thigh"? ...whatever that means?

I just heard about the eclipse on the weather channel last night. This also comes right after the huge solar storm we had last week which caused havoc all around the globe. I also remember hearing that there were two sunspots visable at that time ( may still be) which has never happened before if I remember correctly. Also this storm was unprecidented in strength as well as it was not expected in the solar cycle of storms. This was during what they called a low period for them. I wondered then about the signs Yeshua spoke of. I believe that we are very close.

We have been getting many, many words in our prayer time about something coming, and it's big.

I believe that the L-RD is getting ready to pour out His Spirit.

I just thought of something else. Last month we experienced Mars ( the god of war) the planet being closer than ever to earth. This went on for a month and it is still highly visable.

As well I just remembered that in Revelation 12 it speaks of the wonder in heaven, the sun, moon, and stars. This also reflects Josephs dream. Jacob as the sun, and Rebekkah as the Moon and the tribal leaders of Israel, Josephs brothers as the stars.

Hmmmmmmm.

What I wouldn't give to be in Israel or Africa to see this! Israel for obvious reasons, Africa just beacause I love it there :D

I always find things like this to be fascinating. As a child I always loved to study the planets and stars... I marvel at how awesome G-d is that He created the entire universe!

"Astronomers expect a colorful show Saturday night when Earth's shadow falls on the Moon, creating a total lunar eclipse. The event is expected to be much more visually pleasing than a similar eclipse May 15."

"The November eclipse will be dramatically brighter than the May event," says Fred Espenak, a NASA scientist and veteran eclipse watcher.

"Because the Moon is near the edge of the shadow, the coloring effect should be greater than what occurred during the May 15 eclipse. The Moon may take on the sort of blood-red hue that frightened the ancients."

I got this from Yahoo news http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=96&ncid=753&e=10&u=/space/20031107/sc_space/totallunareclipsesaturdayshouldbecolorful

Check out this web site, I just love it... http://www.prophecyupdate.com/prophecy_news.htm

I do believe we are getting really close to end times, I hope it comes soon, I can't stand this earth anymore.

Btw, Do Messianic Jews believe in the rapture of the Church before the Tribulation?

Shalom
Andre.

"Astronomers expect a colorful show Saturday night whe birn Earth's shadow falls on the Moon, creating a total lunar eclipse. [snip]The Moon may take on the sort of blood-red hue" I don't think any momentary reddening of the moon is what the scriptures are referencing. THAT has happened many many times and is akin to the contemorary rabbinic interpertation of Isaiah 53 as "a young woman will give birth to a son." Like the virgin birth it will be something that has never before been seen by man.

That wo which I feel scripture is refering is that the moon turns blood red, period, and stays there. This can be brought about by any of several circumstances include anything that increases the particle density in the atmosphere: intense volcanic activity, an ELE (extinction level event) from a meteor, nuclear winter - to name a few. Another reason this must be so is that the phenomon must be seen by ALL men, not just those in the perfect viewing position.

Just my NSHO

Or G-d might just cover it with blood...;)

I read somewhere recently that went there was a total lunar eclipse that Israel saw it as a portent of trouble for them but a solar eclipse meant trouble for the nations. I will have to look for that again.

The early Rabbins considered an eclipse of the Moon (Lavanah) as a "bad omen" for the nation of Israel. Anciently, a "blood red moon" symbolized violence, war, and evil factions rising up against the nation of Israel. (1) More importantly, a red moon historically and Biblically indicates a period of judgment (Isaiah
13:9-10; 24:23) for the wicked.

Historically, "the course of empires and nations were changed by the occurrence of eclipses," as attested to by Apian (1540) when hewrote in regard to eclipses and their affect on Earth:

And it is certain that the Sun and the Moon are themost powerful causes of events...and eclipses by which, beyond doubt, the affairs of the world are changed."

Btw, Do Messianic Jews believe in the rapture of the Church before the Tribulation?

Those who KNOW the Bible, not just messianic jews (if any) think to nothing about this "church" rapture before the "tribulation".

It is the shanaYovel (jubilee year), and we are to OBSERVE IT :)
learn this mystery.

i have to- it builds interest- hopefully.
I leave hints for people to follow- I dont like to give the entire thing.
I love to leave people with hints so that they will end up to its result by themselves, by their OWN study. not by a person feeding them.
Teach a person to fish and they will create a fishing company:)

Problem is sojeru, your carrots are microscopic in nature so therefore you may not attrack too many, especially those with bad eyesight. ;)

Just tell me this, does what you posted have anything to do with Psalms132:17 and Joshua 6:5, Isaiah 2:11 ?
