Hey, wanted to let all you guys know that Isaac came home yesterday afternoon. He is doing wonderfully and seems to be adjusting to the noisy home-life.
Aaron took one look at him and said "oh no". It was priceless. David wants to steal Isaac's binky and Jake is still afraid to hold him. Jake calls him Ike.
Heh. Isaac is staring at me while I type. It's almost time to eat, apparently.
Thank you ALL for your prayers and thoughts. They really helped us and Isaac get through this tough time.

I was just telling my wife this morning how you had hoped to bring him home tommorow, but this is even better. So happy for you Beckie and all your family. May The Lord continue to bless this litle guy and make him grow stronger with each day.

That is wonderful news!
Four boys huh? You’ll never be able to train them to leave the toilet seat down now…!

I think women need to be trained how to put the toilet seat down for themselves. It's actually easier for them. They have gravity to help with it. :P

I'm so glad Isaac is home and doing well! It absolutely amazes what they can do these days for babies half his size. Praise God for modern medicine!

Thanks, Scott.
He really is doing quite well. He might be a bit smaller than my other babies, but he's growing rapidly (he's already grown two inches!!) and he eats like a horse. He seems to like it here at our mansion. He smiles a lot, that's for sure. And he giggles in his sleep...more than any of my other kids have done. It's quite amazing to hear.
We did get a positive on one of his tests, for "congenital adrenal hyperplasia". This is most likely a false positive resulting from his early birth, so we had to have him retested and we won't know the results until the end of this week. It's basically a hormone imbalance and manifests itself more in girls than boys. If he has it, he'll be on medication his whole life and while he will be a normal sized toddler and child, as he gets into manhood he may be shorter. Of all the things that could've gone wrong from a preemie birth, this is one of the lesser things. But I'm still praying for a negative on the retest!

Oh wow. I also hope for the negative on the retest.
Otherwise, I am happy that you are happy. :)

Prayers for a negative retest here, too!
When my daughter had Cadence, they lived with us for awhile, and Cadence giggled in her sleep too. It was so cute - how can they say that when babies laugh it's only gas - no way! Especially when they are giggling in their sleep!

I don't know of too many people who giggle when they have gas. Maybe they giggle AFTER they PASS the gas, but not while they have gas!!
I've never bought the "it's only gas" thing either. One woman in our church continues to argue with me that it's gotta be gas. Sheesh. Just let me have my baby moment, okay? ^_^
