my wife just asked me what i thought about her going to the wels women thing their having soon in Tucson.

i asked her why on earth would she want to go to that?
she had a real lousy time when she went to the one ,they had in las-vegas . why should she waste her money to have another lousy time. And Its exspencive.

she says she thought God wanted her to be around
other lutheran women of the same faith.

but faith does not make some people more friendly
if they don't like you they dont like you.

so why go and have a bad time?

and after i thought about what i told her.

I will say by to those who don't like me and by to perhaps one or two that did .

I loved all the LWMS things that I have attended. Most recently, I was grieved to have to resign my secretary position because of time constraints.

They ARE expensive though. I'm fortunate that I get a bit of discount because of being married to a pastor.

You're not going anywhere Rocky. You just need to polish your posting skills and work on not offending the masses.

If she really wants to go, I think she should go. Perhaps this time would be a better experince.

About unfriendliness in the church... Seems like that is rather common. Or maybe not unfriendliness..more like lack of social skills.

Can she go with a friend from church? Did she meet anyone last time that she could share a room with? Either would help with that expense.

They are always looking for volunteers too, that way she would have something to do, a way to help, but that's what I would do if I were going...
