Must be the weekend for news...

New Staff Structure Jan 2008

CF will be reverting to a stucture somewhat similiar to the '05 staff structure in a few days. Some of the highlights are:

[1] No longer assign a set of forum categories to teams. Teams would be there for staff support and mentorship.

[2] Staff would be able to select their forums, site-wide.

[3] Admins as a whole oversee all forums.

Some admins will be assigned to a specific forum or forum category, these being Recovery, Teens, and Support. They would provide necessary assistance to members and/or staff, given the unique nature of some of these forums.

This would be in addition to their duties administrating a team.

Some of the differences from the 05 structure will be:

Congregational forums will be handled just as any other forum, ie there will not be a CPR. Congregational mods will get a higher priority placement wise, than others not a member of a congregation, but it is still possible that a congregation will not have a staff member who is a member of that congregation. We do hope to have greater coverage of congregations by congregational staffers with this format.

Teams will be responsible for hiring staff, rather than the central function we had in 05. Team/Cat admins and or HR will have veto power.

Category mods serve as team leaders, but also have key roles in their categories, as concerns staffing, and resources.

The new team names and their admins are as follows:

Team Love
Admin:Arborvita * cat admin - support
Admin:Tishri1

Team Joy
Admin: ravenscape * cat admin - support
Admin: Athene

Team Peace
Admin: Steffi * cat admin - teens
Admin: AdJesumPerMariam

Team Goodness
Admin: s_gunter * cat admin - recovery
Admin: Neinor

Team Longsuffering
Admin: Jeffrey LLoyd
Admin: Sophia7

Team Faith
Admin: Tonks
Admin: Sojourner1

Team Meekness
Admin: Synger
Admin: Methodman

Team Temperance
Admin: flaglady
Admin: GoNoles

Team R-R
Admin: Suzybeezy

Staff are currently signing up for their forums, and we will be rolling this out next week.

Since staff are asking for the forums they wish to moderate, I don't think you need to be too concerned.
The only circumstances in which no conservatives would be moderating this area would be if none wanted to do so.
So let's wait and see what happens before we panic. :)

Hold the control button and use the scroll on your mouse - it changes the size of things on your entire screen

I did too

I'm guessing that enough current congregational mods are going to request to stay with their forums that it won't be an issue

with the changes, many of which are a return to the pre777 days, will we be seeing any of your family members back here?
