is there an official way to do it? who would i need to talk to, to do this officially?
if anyone reads this, know i'm not asking it to be canceled today. i want about 7 days to be sure i get all the people that i talk to a lot email's address, via pm, and save some blog entries.
so would i need to just wait to do it when i get all that done, or is there a way to put an expiration date on my member being done?

If you are not talking about being a site supporter, only about being a member, there is nothing to do except maybe delete the information about yourself in your profile. Because of the way the software works, no user name is ever deleted, even if the person is deceased.

FallingWaters is correct in her statement.
We do not delete accounts.

well i have one curiosity that i know would probably be weird to do, but if you can't cancel the membership, then ban me from all the other forums but WWMC.
i have lost all respect for this site, but people that i have talked for nearly 4 years really would like me to stay. but i have no desire to even have the temptation of going to any other forums. i'm trying to restrain myself from the discussion about the "archiving" of the non-nicene forum because now, i don't care what rules i may break while discussing this change, i don't care who i hurt, that, really, that's not like me personally and that's not like the way i post here at CF. i don't agree with John the Baptist wannabe...oops Lee's desicion, no respect for his way of running CF as of now, but the people here at CF i have talked to for years now, and they are more important than the administrator, or the supporters, the reasons for this pathetic change as far as i'm concerned.
so how about some Christian love and help, lending hand with keeping temptation away eh for the sake of friendships i have made here at CF? or is that too much work to do as canceling out membership is too much work because i know it is done when a person breaks the rules enough of times, or is that what i need to do?

There's no way to physically ban you from every forum except WWMC. You either have access to all or none.

I'm sticking my nose where it doesn't belong; sorry. But if you feel that way, why don't you just not post anywhere but WWMC?

Scramble your password and email address. Then you won't be able to log back in. As for just posting in one forum, then that's down to will power.

If you unsubcribe from everything but the WWMC forum, then that will be the only forum you see in your control panel. I use my control panel to tailor my "view" of cf by subscribing to the forums where I like to participate or read...of course my control panel is probably longer than the index page now ^_^.
Anyway, it might help you focus on only the areas of CF where you want to participate.
