Actually I don't believe either of us are.

I'm LDS and one thing I've learned from the persecution we've lived with is to never behave that way towards another religion.
So what I'm saying is, I respect and honor your right to believe as you do. I believe you are Christians and any religion that produces decent, moral and honest people is a benefit to our society.

Here's to common values.

Hurry time is short. Can't knock on others when you yourself call God by a name that does not happen to even be a translation of the Tetragrammaton but rather a combination of the Vowel signs of Adonai and Elohim, not a name or translation at all! I don't have a problem with her comment, she is a sincere person though sincerely wrong.

A lot of people do have a hard time coming to terms with the Tetragram. It exists in scrolls and manuscripts. The main issue is that it's very existence undermines a certain doctrine that unites God and Jesus as one and the same when Jesus himself said it was not the case. God has a name. It separates Him from all the other god's that exist or have existed. If someone does not agree with this and chooses to believe in the trinity, fine. However it is always best to research on the matter both for and against, then make a decision. Currently on the website www.watchtower.org (http://www.watchtower.org) there is a piece you can look at about God's name and it's history. You will find it both open and honest. Then decide what to believe in.

This thread was meant to be nothing but a friendly greeting and a show of respect for another religion. Not a debate on who's right.

Sorry for bothering you.

God bless you and your Christ-like attitude.

Jehovah's Witnesses are the only true religion on earth today. God speaks to his people through the Faithful and Discreet Slave which is the governing body of the Jehovah's Witnesses. The Watchtower is the primary source of spiritual food.

(All of the above is according to the teachings and beliefs of the Jehovah's Witnesses, not the Bible or the Holy Spirit)

Well, NW... I saw what you meant and I appreciate it.

Of course, I'm not mormon because I disagree with a lot of it's -teachings- but it cannot be argued that it does produce some fine people. Though, in -my- understanding, I don't think it's -accurate- but I believe your heart's in the right place, and your search for God, and righteous attitude is exemplary.

I wish more "mainstream christians" were as in line with Christ's message as you seem to be.

The tetragrammeton has been translated as "Jehovah" by MANY people, LONG before the JWs came around. If you have a better suggestion, by all means... But it's the best we can do.

... keep in mind the translation of "Yeshua" into "Jesus"
