My dear friends
It is with great regret we saw this announcement put up this evening. Tishri and I want it to be known that we fought and fought against this action. We have been to the top, to the new owner of the site but, for his own reasons, he felt he had made a decision and that he should stick by it. So after next week this little neck of the woods in Christian Forums will be no more. We are sorry, more sorry than you can imagine. You had a such nice haven here and built up a really nice community.
I am reminded of Matt 10:40 "He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me." We received you in love and fellowship. In departing, you will leave behind you here a space that will not easily be filled, both in the forum and in our hearts. The only thing I can say and pray is that you will go with God and that He will find you a new, even better place in which to fellowship. I do pray that you will not be too hurt, that you will realise it's your walk with God that matters, not your presence or lack thereof, on this forum. All men are precious to God. Having known you these past months, you are also precious to us and will be greatly missed.
In this time, I would ask you to pray about this and ask that God will show you the good in it so you can forget about the bad. God goes with us everywhere and never leaves us.
May he never leave you but make your pathway straight and easy to follow.
Your sister in Christ
Blessings

I might not believe the way that you all do--- though I was some what brought up on the JW's teachings (my Mom sorta adheres to this faith), but I am truly sorry to see this place close down.
I still hope to see you the JW's members around in other areas of the forums. I pray not all hope is lost for His Church to reunite as one.
God bless

I pray that our Heavenly Father uses this for His Glory. I hope the JW's (and Mormons, too) whom I've been talking to do visit other areas on this forum and discuss and learn, teach, and grow.

Dear Sister...
Find comfort in the Lord--- as I'm sure those who are here will do so as well.

We can all gather in other forums.
Posting style will need moderation.

Jehovah's Witnesses don't have a high opinion of mainstream Christianity and I can't blame them. I shall tell the 'pals' at the bookstudy next Tuesday that they are being cast off from this place. It will confirm their suspicions.
Satan will be pleased.

I'm really sorry for changes and the hurt. This is a sad change of events for many of us.
While the Nicene Creed will be up held here, you are not without a simpathetic ear. You are welcome in other forums. Restricted in style of posting yes, but still free to pray and fellowship and talk about many of the areas we agree on and still promote understanding by answering questions.
Polite appeals may be hear yet. God is not deaf. God does hear and in God we put our hope and faith, not in forums and not in men that are imperfect.
Praying for you all

Why not set up an area where non-nicene theology can be debated under general theology? And a section for non-traditional or unconventional teachings?

To anyone who objects to new changes.
I think all site supporters who donated money to CF during the non-Nicene period should be refunded their money. They bought a product under false pretenses – thinking it was one thing, then finding out it was something very different. If a refund is not made available, a BBB report can be created. Filing a complaint is very simple – first ask for a refund, then record reply. Then just go to the BBB site, and follow instructions. http://welcome.bbb.org/ (http://welcome.bbb.org/)

So what is the end result of this decision and when does it go into effect?

If I remember right, this was the decision when LeeD almost closed down non-nicean forums, but at the last minute changed his mind. ... unless this is a second change... but I think this thread is referring to when it ALMOST happened a month or so back. Just resulted in changing locations to further separate non-trinitarians as "really really not Christian... but we're letting them pretend to be as long as they understand that they're wrong."
... sort of. Of course this isn't the intent, but the effect.
Still up though, and as far as I know no further plans to close us down. Any chance a mod can comment and close the thread to avoid future confusion?

This thread is from January, and the changes discussed in it took place some time ago!
Closing this to avoid undue panic :)
